FM Best Artists in the History of Rock and Roll (Nominations Page)
Ok the poll has made its way over here. Hopefully all the interested parties have made their way over as well. Cash won his match-up. This poll is going to be for The final 3 spots in the poll. I will run it 3 times, with the winner moving on each time. Unless there is a clear 3 from this one poll.
Moving on to the tournament:
7 Jimi Hendrix
7 Led Zeppelin
6 The Who
6 Pink Floyd
6 The Doors
6 David Bowie
5 The Velvet Underground
5 Black Sabbath
4 Queen
4 Cream
4 The Allman Brothers Band
4 Simon and Garfunkel
4 The Stooges

Leestu also voted for Janis Joplin. I'll leave this up for a couple more days, but its looking like I will just take the 3 front runners and add them in. Thanks again guys!
Re: FM Best Artists in the History of Rock and Roll (Nominations Page)
I voted for Alice Cooper. I hate myself already for that.
1976-1985 nominations are OPEN!
The Band, Janis and Elton move on.

Re: FM Best Artists in the History of Rock and Roll (Nominations Page)
Good to see you get in on the act Shryke. Better late than never. A couple of notes though:
You posted only bands that haven't been mentioned before. I don't know if that was intentional or not. If you want any of the previously mentioned bands to move on, you need to include them in your nominations, as the top 16 bands with the most nominations are the ones that go on.
Also, Queen and David Bowie are already in the tournament for the last era, thus can't be counted. Ironically enough, they are matched up in the first round.

I don't think I can accept nominations for cameo and run dmc NSpan. They were hip-hop/rap/r and b. You hate me don't you?

Re: FM Best Artists in the History of Rock and Roll (Nominations Page)
Shryke, you still don't seem to grasp the whole concept of this when you say "if no one else has yet." If someone has added a band you want in the tournament
You have to add them to your list because this is the only way they will get in. They need several votes to get into the top 16 that move on to the tournament.
Also, if you are ever up here, that would be great.
Also also, Shryke, you honestly like:
Depeche Mode
Toto
Duran Duran
Men at Work
Billy Idol
Electric Light Orchestra
Steve Miller Band
The Eagles
Neil Diamond
Chicago
Prince (and the Revolution)
Hall & Oates
The Smiths
Wang Chung
The Cars
Devo
Bee Gees
Better than the likes of The Clash, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen etc...?
Odd taste my man
