Best Film Of April - June 1992
Re: Best Films Of The 1990s [Apr-Jun 1992 poll open NOW! / Noms for July - Sept Open]
Well, its got my vote! I'll try and check it out someday, it does sound like something I'd enjoy.

I second Die Hard 2: The Ridiculous One.
And I did not like Taking Care Of Business. Grodin is good in it but he plays a total dick. Meanwhile, Belushi terribly plays the character he always plays (a dumb buffoon who doesn't care about rules). It's hard to believe that it was from the same guy who did Silver Streak. But then again, that same guy did Burn Hollywood Burn, Carpool and National Lampoon's Pucked.

John Belushi is a legend. A master of comedy whose life was tragically cut short by drug addiction and a reckless lifestyle.
Jim Belushi is a talentless hack of an actor whose whole career has consisted of terrible performances and the fact that his brother was John Belushi.
Had John Belushi not died, Jim would have fallen into the cracks of the Frank Stallones and the Roger Clintons. Instead, we were treated to the shitfest that is According To Jim.

I probably should have asked which Belushi you were referring to. Having never heard of the movie, I didn't know. I agree with you.

There are alot of really good movies that came out in this time frame, it's going to be hard to narrow this group down to 1.

Looks like a runoff between Goodfellas and Miller's Crossing may be impending.

Because of this polling, I rented and watched Miller's Crossing for the first time. Still can't pick that over Goodfellas, I would like to discuss Miller's though. What people like about it so much, especially over Goodfellas. I'm not saying it was a bad movie, but Goodfellas is Goodfellas. When I talk about gangster movies, Goodfellas is always at the top of the have you seen list.

Re: Best Films Of The 1990s [Apr-Jun 1992 poll open NOW! / Noms for July - Sept Open]
Goodfellas was long, boring, I couldn't care less about the characters, every time Joe Pesci was on screen I wanted to jump out of a window, same goes for the actress who played Ray Liottta's wife. When I sit through a movie for that long and seriously don't care whether the characters live, die, get caught, go free whatever, then that movie was absolutely nothing special. I guess you could say that Joe Pesci was the best for me, because at least he made me want them to kill him. The rest, I just didn't care about. I don't see what the big deal is, but I have been over and over this on multiple threads, so I don't need to start another argument, those are just my thoughts wrapped up for you packman.
