I totally concur. An absolutely terrible horror movie which got lucky in the torture porn movie obsession period.

Yeah, I'll admit High Tension wasn't great by any means, but I thought it was good for the genre (and better than most nominated so far), and the director has moved to do some high quality stuff with Mirrors as well.

Second Hustle and Flow and The Constant Gardener.
I nominate Capote, Corpse Bride, Dark Water, Sky High, Broken Flowers, Junebug, Lord Of War, Oliver Twist and A History Of Violence (this was a really good period).
And I can't believe I didn't nominate March Of The Penguins for Apr-Jun. That was the best film of Summer 2005!

Sky High, really? Even looking at it as tongue-in-cheek, it wasn't that good.

I second 2046 and Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance. I denominate The Devil's Rejects, as I did in the 50 best state poll. I don't need to go over again how much of a terrible movie that was.

Watching it with kids and enjoying it on the 2 different levels I got way more out of it than I expected. Taken at face value it is a bit formulaic but as a mocking homage (if that is possible?) it's individualistic. Does that make sense or I am just contadicting myself?

Second Capote and nominate The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
My vote will be going to The Constant Gardener or A History of Violence. I haven't decided.
