Please post messages here and try to keep only the draft in the other one so that I don't accidentally miss something. Thanks. Also, if you see someone has passed their time limit, you can go ahead and pick the next best movie (as long as you aren't going next) for them.

well that is why we need a defined list, W. Who is to decide what is the next best movie? That opinion can be vastly different. Like I could think it will be Terminator Salvation, while JackO might think it will be Slumdog Millionaire 2: Slum Harder.

Personally, W. I think if someone misses their draft time, they should be skipped and maybe let to make that selection up in a later round...I don't think they should get a free film for not even participating...but that's just me. It's not really fair to the other players, plus like geez mentioned whos to say which pick is 'best'...

Do it like they do for the NFL draft. If your time passes, you can jump in at any point and make your pick whether only one team has picked or the next 10 have.

That sounds like the best plan. do it like Keyser said, with the NFL draft. If you miss your time, the next player's clock starts, and you can grab whatever is left at any point you get around to it. It is the fairest way.

Now what will happen if in January or February, a move like this year's Fast and Furious happens where a movie that will be released after our dates gets moved into March/April? Will it be fair game to the first person that gets a post in or a PM to W?

If he's not going to be doing any drafting at all, then drop him from hte league. If he will be drafting and just hasn't gotten a pick in yet, you just skip him until he makes a pick.

he actually let me know Tuesday morning that he wanted in via PM, so its not like he doesn't visit the site... people that were skipped won't get another additional 12 hours when their pick comes again. If they can't make it, they should send a list.

If he let you know then he should keep it. If people think they won't be on at certain times, just compile a list of what you want in the correct order, and if you aren't on, someone can just pick it for you. Also would make things MUCH faster.

I think he should be skipped, and tranny should get Harry Potter, if he so chooses to take it, and Ron will make his selection whenever he makes it.

Edit: Although the 12 hour thing can be rough. I mean realize that tranny's time period was between midnight and noon eastern time, where he would have been sleeping or in school. That kinda isn't fair. I don't know Ron's situation, so I can't really comment on that.

some people don't have the ability. You went to high school. Did you not have to get up before 7 am to get to school in morning. I know I didn't have time to get on the computer before school. Just making the point that's all.

Listen... He was on yesterday to see he had the 3rd pick. You know when your time is coming up, Your choices are 1) send in a list (of 3 for him) or 2) hope your on before you pick comes.

If you want to make the rules about skipping and whatnot, I believe they should be applied to EVERYONE! Even me. If I don't send Geez or Buscemi or someone else that is on a lot a list when I'm going to be gone and unable to pick, then I should be SKIPPED if that's the way you want to go. Nothing against ANYONE but the rules should be applied to EVERYONE....

W,

I'm all for skipping if you don't send in a list. Listen, if you check the site at least once in 24 hours, the most you should fall is 3 or 4 spots before you get your pick in.

Nope, I said--and have always said--if you're not going to be on for a while, or may not, send in a list. I've said that in every draft league I've been a part of...

Also, I especially hate getting into arguments like this because it makes it look like I'm just trying to get a better pick myself (when I randomize lists, I sometimes hope to get a bad pick). But now that at least a couple of people agree with me, I hope I'm good.
