I liked them both quite a bit but GBU is at a 9.0 imdb and Josey is a 7.8. No f'ing way.

I TOTALLY agree. I think the G, B and U is vastly over-rated, an overblown action movie with great moments but not enough to justify its 3 hours.

Yeah it makes a lot of money, but a lot of film fans don't respect it. Since it's a "kids" movie and all.

Who exactly rated Live Free or Die Hard that highly? It is quite possibly only the 3rd best Die Hard movie and maybe the 4th.

It might be third, but definitely not fourth. That honor goes to Die Hard 2.

WALL-E is so overrated, it's disgusting. I think it's one of Pixars few missteps. It doesn't compare anywhere near any of their other movies, much less the best of their best.

Adventureland was pretentious, dull and unfunny. And yet, it has a 7.8 IMDb rating.

Observe and Report, a far better film that was actually funny, only has a 6.8 rating.

I'm with ya on this one banks. O and R was a complete waste of celluloid while Adventureland at least had some moments that thaose of us who grew up during that time period could look back and laugh at.

I think this has to do with the humor and irony of Wall-E. It was aimed at your generation and your possible future in this world. The oldest of you is 21 and I don't think many people under 25 or 30 would appreciate Wall-E. Us older world weary guys like Swedge, Keyser and myself thought it was sliced bread.

Buscemi wrote:Overrated: American Pie

I don't think Heathers was underrated for years. I know it was huge when I was in school. It was a cult favorite for the entire early 90's. It may be now though since kids these days apparently watch High Shcool Musical and Fast and Furious. LOL

Overrated: Anything by David Lynch. "Well I didn't understand anything so it must be high brow." Rolling Eyes
Underrated: Soldier (1998) The direction was passable but the writing was suberb, as well as I would expect from the guy who gave us Blade Runner and 12 Monkeys.
