I honestly thought today was the last day. Not that i should be leaving things to the last second, but surely a couple of hours isn't going to give me an 'unfair advantage'?

Anyway, if i can still subscribe:

4. Terminator Salvation
5. Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't care if the deadline were pushed back to March 1st. I mean, the earliest anyone has a movie release is Watchmen March 6th. The only reason this was the deadline last year is because the first scheduled blockbuster was being released here (Cloverfield) and even though that didn't pan out (Paul Blart has already passed it, wrap your heads around that) that was definitely the reason for the deadline.

I just find it really unfortunate that Swedgin! didn't get in, when he loves this contest so much. We all know how busy his life can be. You know that he's not just waiting to "gain an advantage." I know a lot of the people on that list are no longer with us, or are having computer problems, but Swedge will be back soon enough, and he has already announced that he will not even be considering Watchmen. I want to throw out making an exception just for him, if that's alright with the fantaverse.

geezer9687, Watchmen is going to be released on March 6th (not May)
February 1st was voted as the deadline, BUT I wouldn't mind if you'll decide a "push back" to March 1st.
Can an admin help me with a poll to decide this? Let's vote... The only reason I can see against this is that the later will be inspired by the elections posted by those who have decided among the first... and the first ones will change their choices...

Considering how relatively easy this league will be to keep track of, you could consider doing two seperate leagues - one with a March 1st deadline and one that's already locked in. I know that the Superbowl gave us first glimpses of a few films that might change a few votes, so one could be a pre-Superbowl league and the second could be a post-Superbowl league. Just a thought.

I agree pretty much with Geez. I think there should be "special cases" made for certain people if they have extenuating circumstances. One of the big reasons I agree with him is that this year has been so potent so far, there is no telling if a top 10 movie has already passed some of us by (I'm looking at you Blart!). SO they don't really have any advantages. Like last year, after Swedgin posted that list of films no one took. I would have switched out a near top ten film in Sex and the City for a semi-dud in High School Musical 3. So yeah, let 'em play. I'm confident in my picks and their order!

Damn, I really wanted to join this year's Super Contest, but my home server crashed during the Super Bowl and... Well, that's what you get for procrastinating.

I'll probably post a list anyway, although my Internet access is limited to what I can get at the local coffee shops for the moment... Doesn't matter to me if I'm actually "in" the Contest, it'll be fun even if I'm on the outside looking in.

I like how I'm the only one who sees The Princess and The Frog being a hit. It's the comeback film for Disney's animation department and it's in 3-D. Also the basic idea is a really good one, being a 1930's jazz-flavored update of The Frog Prince.
