Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
I think the Avatar looks awful. All I can think of is Delgo whenever I see it.
If every theater is like mine, looks like there will be no Inception trailer on prints of Inglourious Basterds. Ruined my fucking day...
The Wolfman trailer is out but I can't get it on Youtube.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
It looks like The Wolfman trailer is all over Youtube, but whenever I click on any of them, it says it's been removed or something about country restrictions. WTF

Here's a link to The Wolfman trailer. I can't watch it because the sound was lagging. Let me know if it works.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Here you go, HD links to 2 new trailers (Wolfman and Daybreakers), as well as the trailer for Avatar.
Looks good. The cast is very impressive, and i'm hoping this one lives up to the promise. The 3000000 delayed dates don't do it much good though.
This looks very interesting. It was always on my radar, but this trailer has bumped it up alot. Good cast, interesting premise, and good song choice too (eventhough i hate Placebo).
Am I the only one that thinks this looks 'meh'? Or at least the trailer makes it look that way.

Bloody hell. That was quick. Anyway, here is a link to an unused trailer for H2, frankly this is better than the used trailer by about 10000000 times.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Though a lot of the early parts of the unused trailer are similar to the final trailer, the second half (with Nights In White Satin) is pretty damn good.

Capitalism: A Love Story Full Trailer 1
This looks great, I really liked Sicko but hated Fahrenheit 9/11.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Trailers shown before my print of Inglourious Basterds:
Halloween II (this was not the unused trailer but the same one that ran with my print of Orphan)
A Christmas Carol
Sorority Row
Shutter Island
Inception
Avatar
The trailers for A Christmas Carol, Shutter Island and Inception got people talking while someone in the theatre thought that Halloween II looked bad.
Meanwhile, I liked the teaser for Inception and it now makes me want to see more. It looks like a sci-fi variation of a classic whodunit.
As for Avatar, it looks like a sci-fi version of The Last Of The Mohicans. I don't mind the look of the characters but if the story is good, then it should be just fine.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Here were the trailer that i got during Inglorious Basterds
Extract
Inception
Avatar
A Christmas Carol
The Wolfman
Youth In Revolt
H2 [ the unused trailer]
I can not even begin to describe how bad i think Avatar looks. It looks so corny and god awful.
A Christmas Carol and The Wolfman look alright
Youth in Revolt looks hillarious.
Inception looks pretty good the teaser was kind of confusing though.

Even though it looks like a mix between Delgo and Battle for Terra?
The Avatar Day footage was alot better though.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Avatar looks more like The Last Of The Mohicans than Delgo. Also, Avatar doesn't feature has-been teen idols and Saturday Night Live castoffs in the leads.
Meanwhile, trailers I saw before The Goods:
Gentlemen Broncos
The Informant
Couples Retreat
Gamer
Shutter Island
Gentlemen Broncos actually doesn't look that bad. Sure some of it is typical Jared Hess but I do like the whole concept of an author getting revenge on the other author for stealing their work with a similar plotline occurring between the book's characters. This could be a sleeper hit for the fall.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Finally, a trailer for "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell". Looks like it IS coming on 9/25, not 10/16. I'll have to make that change to the standings sheets.
Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
The release strategy is a rather strange one. The film will open in 450 theatres on September 25th but then go wide on October 16th. The book was only a cult hit at the best and the film has mostly unknowns and straight-to-video actors so I don't know how this strategy will work.

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell looks like it's supposed to go STV. And how random that Paul Wall is in there. I didn't know people still cared about Tucker Max.

The Wolfman Trailer 1
Everyone seems to like this, but it really does nothing for me. Looks stupid, if anything.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
I Hope They Server Beer in Hell looks great, more appeal to me than the hangover did, the one liners are hilarious (hopefully they don't show the only good ones in the trailer) and I am a huge fan of Jesse Bradford (Hackers, of course).
Avatar looks good, I will probably see it on the mega screen for the graphics alone, the animation in the trailer is pretty epic. Story may be questionable though.
Michael Moore's new movie looks like more of the same. I've seen all of his previous and read his book, I don't agree with his ideas as they are pretty minimally factual, but he knows how to make an interesting documentary and brings up really important topics, so I am interested to see this one, I think we may see eye to eye for the first time on this one.

Capitalism looks awesome. Citizen's arrest. LOL
Inception. I hate teaser trailers. What the hell is it about? Not that I won't see it however. It is Nolan and DiCaprio. Nolan as a writer and director has produced 4 movies in my top 100. I believe in him like some people believe in jesus. Our father who art in LA, Nolan be thy name.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
I'm not a believer in Nolan. I think he displays moments of genius but I find flaws either in his direction or in the scripts he works with. But with that said I loved the Inception teaser. Great effects and it looks like a great mix between a tense thriller and some interesting visual effects.
