The Official New Trailers Thread
I figured one big thread to post new trailers and reactions would be better than tons of threads for each notable trailer that comes out.
New FULL 2012 Trailer
Looks more of the same from Emmerich, lots of destruction and CGI. Should be as big as The Day After Tomorrow.
New Love Happens Trailer (aka Brand New Day)
Uh, looks pretty boring and simple. No thank you.
New Whiteout Trailer
Meh. Seems too close to 30 Days of Night, even though that was Alaska and vampires. Looks like a Netflix-er.
New Old Dogs Trailer
It's supposed to be stupid, but damnit I found it funny. And I know I'll be checking it out.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
With 2012 you know what to expect i guess. That trailer had some good moments though.
Whiteout looks like it could be interesting, but that voice-over dude has got to be the worst one going around! So not a voice-over voice.
I think Old Dogs could be a guilty pleasure of mine just like Wild Hogs was. "Ok Mr. Testosterone"

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
I've watched the Whiteout and Old Dogs trailers. Whiteout really doesn't tell you anything about the plot in the trailer and when it does, it looks like My Bloody Valentine 3-D in the snow. However, I am the opposite on the voiceover. I've heard his voice in other trailers (such as Race To Witch Mountain) and he seems to have a haunting voice that fits a number of genre trailers (kind of like the late Don LaFontaine and the late Percy Rodriguez). I like his voice. It's no "voice of God" or "Optimus Prime" but it's a good voice.
As for Old Dogs, I think the film looks like more shit from the director of Wild Hogs. It looks like a bad attempt for Disney to go into the raunchy territory. I only laughed at one joke in the trailer (Robin Williams hitting a kid in the face with a soccer ball). However, I'll probably see it since it is Bernie Mac's final film.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Well here's the first of the two Robin Williams movie this year. And they're basically the same thing.
Red-Band World's Greatest Dad trailer
Goddammit, this looks hilarious. I just hope it goes wide, I don't wanna wait until DVD for it.

That looks good. Bobcat Goldthwait is a pretty good director (Shakes The Clown and Sleeping Dogs Lie are also good).

Here is the new trailer for Robert Rodriguez's Shorts.

This is one fucked-up looking movie.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
I don't know if I like the comedy in G.I. Joe. I'll still probably check it out though, even if it has FLOP written all over it.
Shorts looks entertaining, I laughed at the bit with the baby being super smart. Something tells me it'll be a stoner classic in a couple of years. It won't do well at the box office though, stuck at the ass end of the summer when kids are returning to school. It'll probably be overshadowed by Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Here are some new-ish trailers in case anyone missed them
A Perfect Getaway Trailer
This actually looks pretty decent for a movie that's been pushed back too many times to count. Although I hate Timothy Olyphant, he's just awful.
The Time Traveler's Wife Trailer
Maybe I'll "accidentally" fall into the theater for this one. Looks good, but probably overly sappy. It seems to be a bit simple too, there's got to be more to the plot that they're not telling.
Gamer Trailer
Death Race minus the cars plus video games. No thanks.
New Moon Trailer
Um, I'll be watching because I read all the books. And Twilight wasn't as bad as I expected.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
I think Gamer looks awesome ive seen that trailer like 5 times but the only reason i want to see it is because im an action movie whore.
New Moon looks so awful i cant even put words around it. I hate Twilight ugh.
A Perfect Getaway looks alright. Might Check it Out.
I will see G.I Joe in the theaters most likely. It doesnt look fantastic but i will check it out.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
My opinions on Gamer and A Perfect Getaway:
-Gamer looks like Stay Alive meets The Condemned. Neither of which were good movies. Also, Michael C. Hall's performance looks so over-the-top that it's just sad. Also if films based on video games don't work, then why do they expect a movie about video games to work?
-A Perfect Getaway reminds me too much of Turistas. I don't know why, I guess it's the combination of tropical islands, murders and overly bright lighting. Also, the setting definitely does not look like Hawaii (it's set in Hawaii but it was shot in Puerto Rico).

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Regarding the World's Greatest Dad trailer, I find it quite odd that the kids from the Spy Kids movies are doing such weird shit. The boy in this movie and the sister from Spy Kids in Repo; The Genetic Opera this year. I guess they outgrew kid films...
Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Apparently, The Last Airbender trailer is attached to Transformers 2. I'm scouring the internets right now looking for it.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
OK so The Last Airbender trailer is on JoBlo but I cannot link to it since I'm banned from there. If someone else could do it, that'd be great. Or I'll just wait til it shows up on Youtube and post it.

Yup. I moved to NY and I'm still blocked on my comp, even though I'm using a different internet. But I'm not blocked on my brother's laptop, which is using the same internet. Fucking gay.
I even emailed JoBlo himself apologizing but I got nothing, so fuck him. I just browse it using a proxy site for now.

Lesson learned: you don't fuck him Mickey Rourke's dogs. Otherwise, he'll haunt you in your dreams.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
Other than The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, this is the most important movie ever made. Well, to me anyways. Doesn't show much but looks big budget which is wierd for Nickelodeon. I really hope they have Appa in the movie which is this big flying bison they ride on. The series itself is set up as a trilogy, so I wonder if this will cover the first season and they make a trilogy or if it will be for the entire series.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
I do hope this film does well, not that I'm even going to watch it (I might, probably not though), but because I want M. Night to have another chance to get back to his Sixth Sense/Unbreakable/Village days.
BTW: I thought The Spongebob movie was hilarious.

I have no idea what that is. Never heard of it. Apparently since J.I. Joe is that excited, it was a bit after my time. LOL
Didn't look bad but it didn't really show anything.

Re: The Official New Trailers Thread
I never watched it, but from commercials during SpongeBob... A kid has some kind of special powers and tries to save the world. Its an anime for kids.
The show was called "Avatar: The Last Airbender," but they can't use the word Avatar because James Cameron trademarked it for films.
