Re: Star Trek and Future Tracking (Updated with MTC)
Maybe Star Trek will follow what Batman Begins (another reboot) did. Its opening weekend was only 23.7% of its total gross. That would make Star Trek almost $305.5 M total gross FYI...

Little Ashes doesn't count, Shryke. I asked you to add it a couple different times, but you did not.

Also, that's a pretty solid hold for GOGP if the numbers hold up...I'm still a little pissed I left it on my slates, but I can live with 7 Top 5 points.

Little Ashes did count. I definitely had it on my draft league slate. I don't know where it counted exactly, but it definitely did somewhere.

It'll take 9 total. I'm happy with it... The IMDB rating isn't great though...

I think it actually counts in the March leagues.

Re: Star Trek and Future Tracking (Updated with MTC)
Yes Little Ashes counts on certain leagues but not the May Leagues. They had changed the release date and that made it disappear from the May price sheet. It will count in Mar and April leagues as well as the draft leagues since those are separate from the May-July Supers. How's that for confusing???
Re: Star Trek and Future Tracking (Updated with MTC)
Little Ashes sure surprised me. I guess this bodes well for Remember Me. If 'ole Robert can open an indie flick with a wild mustache, then a tweenie romance should be no problemo!

This puts me in a quandary... do I give different PTA scores for Julia, Limits of Control and Adoration for the May leagues only simply because the movie shuffle for Little Ashes made it unavailable for May leagues? That WILL be confusing...
Besdies, no one took Little Ashes in ANY of the Super Leagues.
Re: Star Trek and Future Tracking (Updated with MTC)
No Shryke, you should just skip a point in those leagues. Award the same points across the board, and include Little Ashes. Why wasn't it included by the way?

I don't know if Up can do WALL-E numbers, maybe in the legs department but def not the OW.

Re: Star Trek and Future Tracking (Updated with MTC)
The Hangover is not going to open to $25 million. No stars + director at his low point + plot that rips off Very Bad Things = major flop.
Also when Very Bad Things came out, it made only $10 million total. And it opened on Thanksgiving weekend.

Maybe not, but in all fairness, the new trailer looks way better, and it just came out recently...

Re: Star Trek and Future Tracking (Updated with MTC)
It came out in 1998 and had Cameron Diaz (post-There's Something About Mary), Christian Slater, Jon Favreau and Daniel Stern. Peter Berg directed it. It was also about a Las Vegas bachelor party and the after-effects of that party becoming the main plot of the movie. The main difference being the body of a dead hooker being the thing to explain instead of Heather Graham's baby.

Re: Star Trek and Future Tracking (Updated with MTC)
People want to see it for some reason... I don't know why. Go with me here, when I this sure on something, in the past couple of months it has panned out (Obsessed, Fast & Furious, Sin, Sunshine, Last House (BO), HauntConn (BO)) I'm on a bit of a roll.
Hangover, Drag Me, and Imagine That will pan out at least in BO. Hangover may not be as big as they're showing, but it will hit at least $40 M making it a pretty decent, good, or great selection.

The first summer bomb will be Year One. Either audiences won't get it (like with Walk Hard) or they'll hate it (like with The Love Guru).

Re: Star Trek and Future Tracking (Updated with MTC)
W has definitely been on a role. How big do you guys think LOTL or Y1 have to be to be considered a success. I think that 90 million should be the target for each.
Re: Star Trek and Future Tracking (Updated with MTC)
Well, 90 def for Land of the Lost but I think 65 is a good target for Year 1 but that would be a grave disappointment considering the Fantaverse cost.
