The newest demand strategy (starting today) is that if 1,000,000 demand it, then the film goes nationwide (I imagine on October 30th). So far, the demand number is over 360,000 with more people being added every few seconds. At the rate it is going, it should hit 1,000,000 by next Tuesday.

Yeah I think that is the point. Trying to use the same hype of "real" footage that Blair Witch made successful. I don't believe it at all but still want to see it.

I'm thinking they need to expand it pretty slowly and they'll be able to pull a lot of money out of this movie. A lot of predictions I'm seeing are over $100 million.

J.I., The Blair Witch Project went wide in the third week of release. Not very slow I must say.

As we speak, Zombieland has risen 14 slots to #116, in between Hitchcock's "Notorious" and "No Country for Old Men."
