Which I nailed as well BTW... I'm not surprised. After Knowing, Fast and Furious, and Paul Blart, you should know that if it looks like a "fun" movie with little in the way of thinking, it should do well... FIghting will even surpass expectations. I had it pegged at $25-30 overall.
Also, if it looks extremely horrible and would have fanboys, its been doing bad relative to price.
Obssessed's IMDB is 3.6
Fighting's IMDB is 6.0
Soloist = 7.6

Re: 4/24 Tracking
Isn't that great? Last week of the season, Shryke writes a February column and gives Under the Sea an A++ and you get one last PTA out of it twelve weeks (or so) later...
And I'm happy for Tyson. And Obsessed obviously. I hate the IMDB tho.

Re: 4/24 Tracking
Well, the Round Two results are (unofficially) in. I still have to wait for the final Sunday numbers as well as any minute changes in User Rating, but I can make the following (unofficial) announcments (unofficially).
FY Ult R2
IMs go to: Shrykespeare, Scripps, Aquamann2001
Eliminated: lillylovelost and Haasing1986 (withdrew), TBB and binkley.
As of this moment, Ron Burgundy still has not entered the April leagues. If I have not heard from him by midnight tonight, he will be DQ'd, and no one else will be eliminted this round. If he does contact me, it will be either A_Roode or Nycguy84, who are separated by only 1/2 point.
HY Ult R2
IMs go to: Scripps, Shrykespeare
Eliminated: lillylovelost (withdrew), A_Roode, TBB, numbersix_99, Nycguy84, delfinasu, Girls_with_Glasses, binkley, Walleye413, transformers2 and Buscemi.
The last eliminated will be Ron Burgundy unless he e-mails me, in which case it will either be Slade605 or Chienfantome
FY BO R2
IMs go to: wcrew2000 and jas_8382. geezer wins the round, and he already has one.
Eliminated: Teh_Sham, Buscemi, binkley, BanksIsDaFuture and SamIAm1000. If Ron Burgundy doesn't e-mail me, then wesvolk will get a death-row pardon.
HY BO R2
IM goes to: numbersix_99. geezer wins the round, and he already has one.
Eliminated: Teh_Sham, SamIAm1000, Keyser Soze, Slade605, A_Roode, akibaali, JackO, leestu, silversurfer19, rasgriz and jjtkaze.
The final eliminated player will either be SuperShaan or SWarehouse, who are less than $4,000 apart after Sunday's estimates. This may be the closest cut yet. (And Ron Burgundy has already been eliminated in this tournament.)
February Ultimate Regulars league "The Oscars" winner - Aquamann2001.
2nd place - becs (well done!)
3rd place - undeadmonkey or Donte77
February Box Office Regulars league "Pushing the Envelopes" winner - geezer (by a huge margin)
2nd place - brockman81
3rd place - JohnErle
So that's it. Final stats will come in tomorrow, and I'll have the final results posted on the site by Tuesday.

Re: 4/24 Tracking
I would expect the imdb for Obsessed to go down even further...I heard (don't know if this is true) the male lead in the movie didn't do press for it because he hated the final product so much (a la Ed Norton and The Hulk)...I haven't seen the movie, and i won't, but from the previews I can see why he didn't want to promote this piece of shit...

Re: 4/24 Tracking
I haven't seen Obsessed yet but I remember seeing a TV spot recently and thought to myself, "Wouldn't this movie work so much better as a comedy?"
Also, what is up with those Roger Rabbit pants that Ali Larter wears in one scene?

Re: 4/24 Tracking
Hahahah Nice. True. I think we are all guilty at some point of judging a movie by its cover, errrr, trailer and sometimes there is a good reason. I won't be seeing this movie either for several reasons. There aren't many of this type of movie I do enjoy. I usually only end up watching these if my wife wants to see them and I am generally writing or reading during the movie. I know that I don't like this type of movie so why pay attention. I definitely won't pay to see it in the theater.
Re: 4/24 Tracking
Well, sorry to say, Ron_Burgundy seems to have disappeared from the face of the Fantaverse. Therefore, he will be eliminated from competition as of Round Two, which will have the following consequences, as he was nowhere near the Red Zone in any of the three touraments he was still in:
Ultimate FY: Nycguy84 is saved from elimination.
Ultimate HY: Chienfantome is saved from elimination. And after removing Ron_Burgundy's stats, it changes the rankings just enough to have J-Man and myself in a virtual deadlock for that second spot in the Green Zone.
Box Office FY: wesvolk is saved from elimination.
Final Round Two standings will be posted either later tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

We'd still be waiting on him in the draft league if I hadn't put a time on it... LOL

Any way I can retroactively eliminate him from the Round 1 HY and have me reinstated. LOL

I thought with Obsessed doing so well, that I'd be able to sneak into the top position in the UHY, so I guess I failed? Damn.

Oh I meant to add that anybody living east of the Mississippi is not able to be reinstated and there is a secondary rule that canadians are exempt from any reinstating. Sorry, better luck next time.
Re: 4/24 Tracking
You people....
Well, the duel in the BO HY R2 is over. SWarehouse will take that last spot in the Yellow Zone, beating out SuperShaan by less than $150,000. That is CLOSE, people. I mean, considering that their slates were over $373M, that's a margin of difference of .04%.
