Re: Golden Globe Nominations Discussion
Someone please remind me the week before the Golden Globes for a special Bonus issue of my Streak Game. It'll be 1 bonus point on the current streak for each 3 predicted right, though that may change somewhat (so, 6 right = 2 points, etc.) I also need to know for the Oscars, Razzies, and any other awards show. I figured it'd be best to post it here.

MisterInformative wrote:Eh, if South Park was nominated for an Oscar (and yes, it wasn't a very profane song, but still), then I think the song from Tropic Thunder could have been mentioned. But the problem may be that it wasn't very long... are there any requirements on length for Golden Globe consideration?
And remember Three 6 Mafia's song from 8 Mile won the Oscar for Best Song.

LOL. Oh, I know what I meant. Eminem did win for his song with 8 Mile though.
I can't believe I got those two mixed up.
Re: Golden Globe Nominations Discussion
Anne Hathaway might have won already!

The Golden Globe awards won't be handed out until Sunday, and supposedly no one knows who will win it, but did Anne Hathaway already snag her statue? The Golden Globes nominations page isn't giving anything away right now, but a few hours ago a star was next to Hathaway's name in the Best Actress-Drama category.
Clerical error or a giveaway? Who knows. I'm leaning more toward clerical error, since I imagine the person who updates the Globes site isn't the one with the super-secret insider info. But hey, if Hathaway wins on Sunday, someone will definitely have hell to pay. Check out a screenshot of the page below, with that shiny star next to Hathaway. And special thanks to the sharp-eyed CB reader who passed the screenshot along.

Re: Golden Globe Nominations Discussion
Does it really matter? It's the Golden Globes. Who really cares about the Golden Globes?
Re: Golden Globe Nominations Discussion
Angelina Jolie is more deserving than Anne Hathaway. Hathaway had an uneven performance in Rachel Getting Married (by the end of the film, she's basically playing herself) while Jolie was perfect in Changeling.
Meanwhile, I hope that Sally Hawkins wins in Comedy (she's also my pick for the Academy Award if nominated).

Re: Golden Globe Nominations Discussion
Wow, it's great to see Kate get both wins. She was great in The Reader and I'm sure she's terrific in Revolutionary Road.
Slumdog won basically everything it was nominated for, now I kinda have to see it.
Great to see Mickey Rourke get his and that was a great standing ovation for Heath Ledger.
Ricky Gervais was hiliarious and should be hosting the Oscars, or at least co-hosting with Hugh Jackman.
