If this were a favorites list, I wouldn't have done that, but its not, so I figured it was the right thing to do.

UDM and Transformers, I just want to double check with you, you both gave less than 100 which is fine, but did you mean to, I don't want you to have made unneccesary cuts. UDM, you did 81 and Trans did 83, so if you wan to add to the list, you have room.

I think Jacko has the closest list to mine, I think we share a lot in common on movie taste. As soon as I saw Sweeny Todd I knew I liked Jacko, then it showed up again on UDM. I thought I would've been the only one to have that on my list.

in general, i really really hate musicals.. to date, i think my favorites are The Happiness of the Katakuris, Tenacious D: Pick of Destiny, South Park: Bigger Longer Uncut, and The Muppet Movie

Yea, I actually cut all the movies I haven't seen. Then i cut all the ones i have seen but dont think you'll miss anything if you never saw it. So the 81 is what's left.

I really dont like musicals either, but Sweeny Todd entertained me. I think everyone should see at least one musical in their life, and if you dont like bloody revenge then watch Sound of Music, which is actually quite fun too. The last act drags a bit, but hardly any movie is perfect.

South Park BLU is the best musical ever. And you don't need a full 100, the whole point of this is to just get rid of all the films that no one has picked, and possibly the ones that show up on only one list, then keep cutting from there.

I agree on the less than 100, I just wanted to make sure they knew that if they made cuts, because they were trying to get down to 100 that they had more room.

I personally ended with 112 and had to cut twelve, which was hard to do.

On the Musical note, it's not that I love musicals, but good musicals I do love, not sure where that puts the genre on my list. IMO Sweeny Todd is the best, but I wouldn't expect my grandmother to like it.

Surf, seems you were probably going off the old nomination list where we had some of the sequels built in together, I'm coming up with 110 movies on your list, not to make you work on that longer but anyway you could cut that to 100?

I had trouble cutting mine down too. I do like musicals though, if they're done right. The great ones on the top of my head are: Dancer in the Dark (a must see movie), Repo: The Genetic Opera (though technically an opera, not a musical), South Park, Moulin Rouge, Once.

I love the music in Once, and I did like Moulin Rouge. South Park is not my thing and I haven't seen the other two.

I like musicals. However I like musicals in the theater more then musicals on film. Sweeney Todd was one of the big exceptions. Once too. Someone needs to make Gypsy into another feature film.

Oh, I haven't read the last few pages and just copied and pasted from the original list. I'll go back and amend it. And most of that two hours was spent debating with the OH on why certain movies (Die Hard, Grease [despite being one of my most despised movies]) would be in the list even though they are not our own personal favourites. It is their impact on cinema and their particular genre which is why they made the list. The wife is very hard to please...



Luckily, I'm the man for the job....

i did notice pack i will finish i was kind of in a rush when i completed the list.

I never said I was going to send one in... I've been messing with the June Pickem, new slates, quotes, the new league I'm putting up... But I'll see what I can do. How long do I have?
