Risky, yes. But since it's almost finished (currently in post-production) and Millar's a hot property with Wanted, distributors should enter a bidding war once the final cut is ready. My best guess is that Overture will pick it up (since they seem to like picking up movies that are challenging to promote) but I can also see Sony, Summit, Lionsgate and Rogue trying to get it. Expect the domestic rights to be sold in a figure between $7 to $10 million.

Hopefully it will be worth it. I've got a lot more riskier picks for the next rounds

I'll take The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and hope that Cannes and 2009 foreign release dates and a spot on Entertainment Tonight means that it's going to have a domestic release in time.

I dont think Kick Ass will be released until next summer, possibly august. Parnassus is probably going to be released decemberish

I mentioned that Kick-Ass was in post-production. There's no way that they'll shelve the completed film until next August.

I certainly hope so. Not on Buscemi's pick, but on mine. I think enough people will see it just because of Ledger to make me enough cash.

The rumours that it may screen at Cannes reminded me of this film, and while it won't be there, it'll be my next pick - I'll take Werner Herzog/Nic Cage's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (side note: terrible title).

Of course, there is no release date yet, but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to debut later this year.
