Interesting piece of trivia: this is the first teaming of father and son Ivan and Jason Reitman behind the camera. Previously, Jason appeared in bit parts in four of his father's films but this time Ivan will be producing and Jason will be directing.

Shoot, I was going to take Youth in Revolt next, and I debated between that and the Tyler Perry movie for my last pick, but I figured one was more of a sure thing.

So instead I'll take Shanghai and hope to God that the Weinstein company doesn't just dump it into five theaters and call it a day.

Whew! Felt like I dodged a barrage of bullets there. I had three in mind and two of them got taken as soon as I traded that pick. However, the one with the most potential is still on the board.
