What is there for the kids to watch? Will They Watch Bolt? They already did during Thanksgiving. Will they watch The Punisher? Nope, Rated R. Will they watch the Day The Earth Stood Still? Nope, too intense. Will They watch Seven Pounds? Nope. Over, their heads. Will They watch Yes Man? Nope, too raunchy. So what do they have left? A animated cartoon about a rat. Pixar has shown a rat can sell tickets. Now Universal is taking a great book and turning it into a story. Face it, if it has talking animals it can sell tickets. Add in the Christmas holiday and you've got yourself a hit!

I do think it looks good but I'm not in. One week later, it's got the tag team of Bedtime Stories and Marley and Me, both potential blockbusters. I'll say that the ceiling is $50 million or something similar to Curious George from two years ago and also from Universal.

I'm on board. Saw commercials tonight with HP's Emma Watson doing a live intro. Clever, very clever.

Family film during Christmas time. I think the only other family film would be Bedtime Stories, and this one being animated does stand alone a little bit.

Last time i underestimated a family movie during Christmas (Alvin) i got humiliated, this time i'm going to say OVER 75 million.

Marley and Me is also family. And to a very lesser extent, Delgo.

I thought Marley and Me would skew more to teens and young adults. Although the cute puppy on the poster would suggest you are definitely right.

While Delgo is supposed to a be a family skewing film, Freestyle hasn't had a film gross more then 16 M domestically, much less 75 M

I'm in for the over on this one.

I know of plenty of adults that are looking forward to Marley and Me. We took the book with us on vacation this Summer but never got to it.

I agree. $50 million tops, though Nico thinks it could do a lot more. (But what does he know?)

No, I don't think it can do it. $50m maybe, but not $75. And it's a mouse by the way, not a rat.

... And really, for its price in the game, it wasn't a bad pick. Certainly in BO anyway.
