I am really enjoying reading everyone's lists each day. Seeing as I am still relatively new to this file-sharing phenomenon I plan on using your lists to discover new (to me anyway) bands that I haven't heard before, so I hope this keeps going for a while.

Never considered D12 as bookends before.

Almost a great mix, leestu! Ana's Song, The Guns Of Brixton and Peaches. Nice!! But then balanced out with some D12 and Dildo...

D12 are fun. Dildo (sic), on the other hand, deserve an explanation. My wife and I share the MP3 player. Usually our tastes are compatable but she has an appreciation for female singers that I don't really share (Evanesence, Pink etc), well a different sort of appreciation anyway, and in the interests of accuracy and truthfulness, values I rate highly, I included it in my post.

Maybe you should steer her in the direction of some talented female singers such as Shirley Manson, Charlotte Hatherley, Jenny Lewis, Martha Wainright, Isobelle Campbell. Anything but Dildo....

We both like Garbage, and Martha Wainwright is OK but the others are all knew to me. I'll get her to look them up and have a listen.

Jenny Lewis has some solo material and also sings for Rilo Kiley (US indie). Charlotte Hatherley used to be in Ash (N.Irish rockers), but is now a solo artist and makes some great power pop. Isobelle Campbell used to be in Belle And Sebastien (Scottish indie pop group) but has more recently been making some solo records and some fantastic collaborations with Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees and QOTSA.

Good info there. I will check out Isobelle and Charlotte. I know Belle and Sebastien, just didn't know that she is the "Belle" mentioned. One odd thing is that I love Rilo Kiley and for some reason I think her solo stuff is not as good. Maybe it is the talented musicians in that group or maybe they colab on lyrics. Not sure.

Odd mix but 2 Nirvana songs at 1st song out of the shuffle. I have 4 albums and the unplugged set so 62 songs out of 7465 on the Pod are Nirvana. That is a pretty small percentage but much larger than Veruca Salt in which I have maybe 4 or 5 songs.

I have one album from the Adicts, and its not even mine, its my brothers. I don't particularly like them, and they come up back to back out of 3404 songs. Kinda crazy.

I don't really know the adicts but the rest of that list was pretty good. I thought the inclusion of Boston with the likes of Sytem, Disturbed and Korn was quite humorous however.

I just gave a few songs a listen from their website. Not impressed at all. Typical punk to me; not good, not musical, not for me. Tell your brother I am glad you only have one album on your pod. LOL

Yeah I only like one of their songs. We share all our music though, since I'm the one with the computer. So all of the stuff he wants on his ipod has to get thrown in with all of my music on my itunes, so occasionally stuff will come up that I don't even like. He happens to think that punk music is the end-all be-all to life. He knows more about it than you would ever think there was to know.
