Streak for the Fantaverse! (Week 4 Game on Page 5, Week 3 Standings Page 1!)

OFFICIAL RULES

Ok, so this will be a 25 week game where you will try to build a 25 win streak. One loss sets you back to zero even if you end up going 4 for 5. First to 25 wins will win the game and we will start with week 1 the next week. If no one gets to 25 after the 25th week, then the highest streak will win.

Week 1, you can only pick 1. Week 2=up to 2 picks. Week 3=up to 3 picks. Week 4=up to 4 picks. And Week 5-25 you can pick up to 5 picks. We can also have special picks with special rules for Oscars/Razzies/etc.

If you lose your streak with multiple picks, the ones that will count towards the streak will be the highest ones that you post before the first loss. The other ones will start a new streak. So answer multiple picks in order of your confidence. So, if you answer #3, 2, 6, 4, and 5 and you win all of them but 4, you would get points for 1, 2, and 3, but not 4 (because you lost) and 5 will start your next streak.

I am allowed to void, lock early, or change an option, but I will post it in the thread name if I do so and it will only be done if a pick becomes extremely unfair. The ones most apt to lock early are the IMDB ratings since sometimes they are put out prematurely. Changing or voiding are most likely to be mistakes or extreme cases like a film being moved or crushing early data.

Also, I can't find DVD sales data, so I'm going to have to go with rental on Week 1, #5 unless someone can come up with a site that tracks sales.

I like the first 2. The Extreme Movie one should be a little lower, like a 4.8 or 4.9 I think. Rephrase the fourth question so it reads "Will Punisher War Zone finish in the top 5"

Question 5 could be who will win the weekend. I'm not sure about the legs of 4 Christmases, I think Twilight or even Bolt could win next weekend. Or if not that, chose between Bolt and Twilight for the higher BO total.

3. Extreme Movie: over/under 4.9 IMDB as of Monday? (4.9 would be considered a push will lock if IMDB prematurely puts up its score.)
4. Will Punisher: War Zone get any Top 5 points this weekend?
5. More Top 5 points this weekend: Twilight + Bolt or 4 Christmases + Quantum? (This would change if Twilight takes this weekend).
6. According to Boxoffice Mojo, which will rent out more DVDs this week, Prince Caspian or Step Brothers + X-Files 2 + Longshots?

Anyone know a good site to check theater counts for Cadillac Records and Nobel Son?

Box Office Mojo. According to them, Nobel Son will open in 750 theatres while Cadillac Records will open in 600 theatres. However, Cadillac Records is higher-profile and didn't have the misfortune to spend three years on the shelf. Also, Cadillac Records will target urban audiences while Nobel Son really isn't being released the way Bottle Shock was (Bottle Shock opened in 21 theatres on opening weekend and went to 400+ theatres a month later).

So, I'd predict $2.5 million on Cadillac Records and $1 million on Nobel Son.

I updated the wording of some of the picks to make sure everyone knows that its just this weekend as is every week we do this. Doesn't affect the picks at all.

Keyser Soze is the only one waiting on #5 (he can still pick this week). The only one people lost on was #1 when they picked Twilight over 4 Christmases. Let me know if this changes when the actuals come out. Otherwise, good luck next week.
