Looks like AC/DC will be playing in Moncton NB this summer which is three hours away from me. I'm thinking road trip. Geezer and Tranny aren't that far away either.

wont be able to afford and i am not big into AC/DC i am going to the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on April 18 in Worcester and Mastodon on May 7 at the House Of Blues in Boston. maybe Rise Against at the end of July if i get more money. Waiting for The Mayhem Fest Tickets go on sale also slated for August 4 here in MA.

Tranny, I'm hoping to go to that Rise Against/Rancid show in Boston.

Are the Dave Matthews Band really that desperate for money? Because those gigs and venues seem rather small.

Sad but true facts: I have never been to an actual concert and I almost never listen to today's artists.

Most of my favorite artists stopped recording long ago and therefore it's impossible to see them in concert. That and almost no good even comes here (I considered seeing Weird Al Yankovic in concert last summer when he came to Springfield but I chose not to. I still sort of kick myself.).

Weird Al was actually my first concert back when I was in like 7th grade. It was awesome.

the venues with DMB are almost all huge corporate-owned amphitheaters and arenas.. seeing as i hate DMB and corporate venues, i'm pleased as punch that Old Crow Medicine Show is headlining the Austin show..........at a BBQ joint

It's looking highly likely that I will be going to a festival with The Killers, and Kings of Leon headlining in approx a month's time.

Nspan couldnt agree with you more about DMB they suck. big venues dont bother me the Comcast Center here in Mass Is actually really good. But the venues ive been have been to are The Palladium in Worcester and before it closed the Avalon in Boston.

Donte, if you plan on comin' to austin to redeem those points, April in Austin is always fun for concerts and shows... (but, then again, so are all the other months)..

Although I'm not big into his stuff, apparently mashup artist Girl Talk is all the rage, and he's giving a concert here in a month or so.

Girl Talk was the name of D.J. and Kimmy's band in one episode of Full House. They played a disasterous rendition of Ace Of Base's "The Sign" and called it quits.

Yes, I've seen every episode of Full House and multiple times at that.

Meanwhile, is Girl Talk the guy who did the "Shoes" song? Because that guy was a pretty convincing drag queen. Not as good as Guy Pearce in The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert (my ultimate man crush) but still good.

No, that was Kelly. Also did Let Me Borrow that Top. Fucking hilarious.

Damn about 80% of the acts/movies I would see are during motorcycle rallies that I have to go to. I will be in Lafayette, LA for Brian Jonestown Massacre and that showing of Godfather II. That would have been cool.

Maybe for Franz on the 25th.

Why does all the cool stuff happen in Austin? You think that with all of the shit surrounding it, that it would be lumped in with the other shit. Everything around here is.

Went to The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival yesterday. Amazing. Lamb Of God Headlined and i was amazed by their showmanship.Other standouts where As I Lay Dying,God Forbid,Municipal Waste,Winds Of Plague,All Shall Perish and The Crimson Armada.
