Harry Potter IMAX pushed back to July 29th

for Transformers 2.

It will still be opening in New York and Los Angeles on July 15th on IMAX.

Makes you wonder why Paramount didn't also do a four week exclusive agreement on Star Trek. Sure it was a surprise hit but two weeks is a short run for anything.

This seems to be a pretty big screw for Warner Bros. It just seems odd to me that studio would overlook something like this. This has to be the most import release for the studio this year, I would expect they would have all their bases covered before setting a release date. But thats just me...

Hey, I don't think it'll hurt anything. Potter fans will now see it at least twice, once in 35mm and in IMAX two weeks later.

This is just more money for WB, it's probably accidental but it's smart.
