Finally. After waiting too long i'm gonna be able to watch this. Loved the book, hopefully the film will be just as good.

this trailer wouldn't have done it for me if i didn't know who was involved.. The Proposition is one of my all-time favorites..

incidentally, we re-watched Assassination of Jesse James last night.. (even better the second-time around!!)..

i wonder how The Road will stack up to Cities of the Plain

I wonder how much they are going to change from the book because from that trailer it looks like a lot of 'action' has been added in.

There was quite a bit of action in the book, it was just spaced out over 300 pages. With a movie compressed to 100 pages of script and the action scenes left in there would be a lot. I just hope the underlying theme is in place.

Please, please, don't screw this up. PLEASE!

I hope so too. Though, I wouldn't mind a few more minutes of backstory.

Yeah Donte, I find the trailer to be very misleading. The book was far more interested in the prolonged suffering and diminishing hope as the father and son trudge through desolate USA, with a few sporadic scenes of tension.

Either the trailer is trying to dupe the audience into thinking it's another I Am Legend, or else they've made it into an action flick. I'm still interested in seeing it, but mostly for the talent as opposed to the trailer.

Agreed. It somehow feels less slow after a second viewing, and it's fast becoming one of my favourite films of the last decade

after reading a bit more about Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid, i think Jesse James might've actually been a worthy "double feature".. we'll see after i get my hands on a copy of PG&BtK--though i'm STILL not sure which version to rent
