Well I'm feeling annoyed with my gender in general, so here you go. My pick for the day is Stupid Girls...

Thanks for the assist, surfer!
Someone played "Head On" not too long ago, so here's another great one:
Jesus and Mary Chain - Far Gone and Out (live)

I will go with a not very popular band even though this is a great song. LOL

And I really liked this group and wanted to share them with you... needless to say, if you go on YouTube, listen to songs like "Sit Down", "Born of Frustration" and especially their most recognizable hit, "Laid."
I'd add "Sometimes", "Destiny Calling", "Out To Get You", "Tomorrow", and "Say Something" to that list. Such a brilliant band.

I feel in a Scottish mood today, so here are a couple of my faves:

Whelp.. Since I've barely slept this week, feeling a little exhausted, today's Bex Pick is Silverchair - Insomnia
*edit: roode, I like that last one, don't see whats particularly worse about it than the original.

Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
This is going to be the first in a series of another of my favorite groups, who I had the pleasure of seeing live in the summer of '93 with the Stereo MC's (Connected), and it was one of the rockinest shows I ever attended. My video pick for Wednesday, February 11th:
Jesus Jones - The Devil You Know (is the only one... what a great fuckin' lyric)

I've never liked Jesus Jones. But I guess that you had to be around in that era (I was only one when they hit the charts).

Haha, I saw that this weekend too Geezer, for how terribad (amazing how their album is called Incredibad) he was in Hot Rod, he is the exact opposite in comedic singing... so effing funny.
"This boat is real!"

Boush,
I'm with you, and I was there.
Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
Right Here Right Now was a horrible song. But sadly, it would probably be a hit if released today (considering the shit that passes as "good" music.

Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
When Joe Strummer ousted Mick Jones from the Clash, he went on to form Big Audio Dynamite, one of the top 10 shows I ever saw.
This is Medicine Show, and it's full of movie references
But a much better choice musically is
E = MC2

I like it too Becs, but I understand quite keenly why it is a cover song that would grate. Glad you liked it!

Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
Ok wel I got to about 2 and a half minutes and I was still waiting for it to start being funny. Was the funny in the last 20-30 seconds that I skipped???
Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
No Donte, the humor is above you. You'd have to reach just a little higher to get it. Its all that being in Arkansas. It can't be good for the brain.
Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
I guess so. 2 white nerds and a robot sounding rapper who can't rap "singing" about being on a boat must be very high brow comedy indeed.
Shit I bet that Hotel 4 Dogs, Beverly Hills Chihuahua and New in Town are great movies but I am not smart enough to get them. They also are very intelligent comedies that people without an IQ of about 180 just will not get. Especially if you live in Arkansas.
Or maybe the only people who found this funny are 16-20 year olds and Becs. LOL

THE GREATEST NEWS EVER!!!!
From their official website:
Hi. We're blink-182. This past week there’ve been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us. To put it simply, We're back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy.
Summer 2009.
Thanks and get ready...
I could not be more excited!!! My hope for humanity has been restored!!! Rejoice!!! Be merry!!!

Thanks Geez, that sure made my day. Do they have a "vomiting into a hat" emoticon??? I would like to use one of those to show my unappreciation for this "event".
