Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
I may turn in early tonight, so I'm going to post my video pick for Saturday now.
Like I said, this "G" group fits into the genre of techno-industrial rock. You may recognize the song from the movie Se7en, and the video will be known to Final Fantasy fans. My pick for January 10th:
Gravity Kills - Guilty

Who doesn't love a little cake every now and then?
Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
The other version of the video is better, love that song though.

Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
My video pick for Sunday, January 11th will close out the letter “G” in my almanac. This group was formed in 1981 in Marietta, GA, though their only charted hit didn’t come until 1989. I just can’t get over how the lead singer looks so much like a young Keith Olbermann…

Shryke,
Absolutely love that song. Had no idea they were from Marietta. I was in school in Atlanta from '81 - '85, and you would have thought I would have heard they were from the suburbs of Atlanta at some point.
My pick for the day is for anyone that's a fan of both New Order and The Smith (Me and Shryke can't be the only ones) This was a side project by Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr with Neil Tennant of The Pet Shop Boys also on Vocals.
This is Electronic with "Getting Away With It".

I decided that TMR Music needed a bit of Mogwai in the mix.
Mogwai with Stanley Kubrick.

Surf,
That is awesome news (And an excellent choice).
My choice for today is a much under appreciated band whose end came way too soon with the death of lead bassist/vocalist Mark Sandman in 1999. Not often you see a band that consists of a 2 string bass, tenor sax and drums, but that was Morphine.
Shryke, you may remember him from Treat Her Right back in the 80's
This is Honey White

I was feeling in a very musical mood this evening, so I thought I might share a silly little ditty from that wondrous musical released the year of my birth...

Hmm....I always had no idea what this thread was and just ignored it.
Didn't know you guys were sharing music. There's some good stuff in here, but most of it seems to be old? Then again, I consider most things created before 1995 old (and I was only born in 87!).
Anyway, in a tribute to the upcoming Notorious movie (which I'll be watching tomorrow!), here is Biggie - Juicy

Yeah, I guess quite a few of us on here suffer from the curse of getting old, and only remembering music over ten years old. I'm not one of them, mind.... I just like the older stuff....

Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
Glad to have you on the thread, Banks. (And I'll be expecting a review for Notorious directly. I have yet to receive one for ANY film from 2009.)

I define old as anyone older than me or anythng that came before me so nothing that I've posted so far do I consider to be old. That and the fact that I haven't found 10 decent CD's to buy in the last 5 years tells you all you need to know about what I think of the current state of music.
Since I posted the Morphine song a little earlier, figured I'd post Sandman's original band, Treat Her Right.
This is Treat Her Right with "I think She Likes Me"

Here is a band I just started getting into. Very odd yet cool music.

And a bonus video on a second post since I still cannot get two videos on one post. This is the first song I heard by TV. Awesome.

Dude, you just paste it into the youtube linker thingy, click okay, then click the youtube linker thingy again, delete the previous url and put in the 2nd url you want and click ok.

Everytime I try that it only shows the last video I paste. No idea why although I suspect operator error. LOL

Same thing happens to me. I found if you hit preview before you hit send, I can sometimes get a second video in, or I just post the first one and then go back and edit the post by putting the second one in.
Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
Then just put tags around your video link?
EDIT hmm yea, that doesn't work... gotta put it in the video url link field and click ok...

Re: THE MUSIC OF THE FANTAVERSE - THE EXTENDED TOUR
What I do is: put in the first one, hit "send", and after it's posted, hit "edit". The embed code for the first one has been replace by something with [flash] [/flash] in it, and then, just position the cursor at the very end of the text and do the process again.
