If it's the same collection I have you will definitely not be disappointed. Tormented, Dementia 13, Killer Shrews, and The Brain that Wouldn't Die are some of my favorites.

That's another box set with a similar title. This one has more B-movie and 1970's type horror (such as A Bucket Of Blood, The Driller Killer, Gothic, Bad Taste, I Bury The Living and Deep Red).

I also want the Drive-In 50 pack. That one has B-movie horror, drive-in type comedies and even one of Paul Verhoeven's first films.

I've been getting them since 2002. Plus, I usually wait until they get really cheap so I can get five or six for the price of one new release.

My mom got a bunch of Fridays coupons for a free appetizer, dessert, or smoothie (no purchase required, $8 max). I get a side and an appetizer (usually the quesadilla) for a couple of bucks... We're running out of those, I think.

hmm I may have to do a rough count of my movies. See how many I have. I am guessing at around 400-ish.

Picked up a remastered version of Lord of the Flies from The Criterion Collection. Haven't gotten to watch it yet but I am excited.

ok I counted. Without counting documentaries( Ken Burns Civil War, WWII docs, etc), TV show discs (Seinfeld, Heroes, Family Guy, etc), concert discs (The Wall, Live at Pompei, Song Remains the Same, etc) and UFC/Pride dvds I have 541. Adding those would make it about 650 or so.

Wow, I never realized.

I've spent years with dvd-purchasing as my primary vice. Just bought 'Mystic River,' Doubt,' 'Gran Torino,' and 'Eight Legged Freaks' and that brings my total up to 1392. That doesn't count tv series that I've been purchasing either. I've slowed down considerably in the last year. There aren't that many new releases that I'm interested in.

I just can't bring myself to buy many dvds. I have to watch something multiple times to be able to justify that in my own mind. I'm sure there's more people like me that just think that there's no way I would ever watch 500 dvds multiple times. Not saying there's anything wrong with it as everyone has their own stuff they do...

I figure that with DVD's being cheaper now, you can buy the DVD's and save money on renting them multiple times. Also, you don't have to worry about other people getting shit on the discs.

Also, you guys should get DVD Aficionado accounts. Then we can all compare our collections.

I once had a pretty damn good collection, but sold most of them a little bit ago when I was really strapped for cash. I tried to wittle it down to only movies that I absolutely NEED for emergency purposes, so my collection right now is about 40-50 deep and consists only of my must haves, plus a few that I can neither sell nor watch ever again thanks to missing or scratched discs...which is why I no longer rent out dvds that I actually care about.

Oh, yeah. I should say loan, I don't charge or anything. If I have it and someone wants to borrow it, I let them. Just doing my part to spread awareness of my favorite films.
