Full Year Draft League: Add/Drop/Waiver Wire

1. This thread is for drop/add/waiver requests only.
2. You can drop any movie you own. You can add any movie that has been dropped for 2 days.
That's basically it besides waivers

Waivers:
1. Drops/date changes (into our season) go through a two day waiver period.
2. Adds/drops/waiver claims aren't official unless it is posted here.
3. Waiver period starts when someone posts a drop or posts that a film has moved.
4. After the two day period, the film is free game.
5. To claim a film off waivers, you have to be the highest on the list to claim it.
6. Once a player uses their waiver claim, they move to the back of the line.

W, most of your ideas are good but I think that this is a terrible idea. I think players should be able to drop and pick up titles whenever. Under this wire, no one will ever be able to make changes unless someone leaves the line. It sounds like Communism the way that this is done.

You obviously don't play fantasy sports, because this is EXACTLY the same way it is done.

But this isn't fantasy sports. In the regular drafts, there is no wire. Why should there be a wire this time? It makes no sense.

Because it is more fair to the people at the back of the draft that got dhit on by the draft order. There is a huge difference between the top and the bottom here. Not so much the top and bottom of a 6 person draft.

Another problem with the wire: the person who's at the top of the wire had the Number Two pick! Not only is it dumb, but it's also unfair!

Um, how do you figure that? He only got the top of the wire because he didn't pick til what the 4th round? If Ron actually made his selections, he would have had the second to last pick.

If this is going to work, then you actually have to do it in the draft order. Not in the order that they came in.

Have you seen his first few picks? I'm quite sure (and it's been agreed already by most) that Banks should have first pick of the waiver.

Another question I have about the waiver wire: what if the person on top does nothing in terms of moves? Does that person stay on top or do they get skipped after a certain time?

They stay on top until they make a move. They always have the number one priority.

You are making it seem like no one can make a move unless the people at the top do. That's not the way it works. You can place a waiver claim on any film you want at any time. And you will receive that film, provided someone with a higher priority doesn't also want that film, within 2 days

It could be like Slumdog...but only if it gets a distributor and if it's as mainstream as Slumdog. Early word has been mixed and the ones who hated it found it too weird to find an audience.

It's got to be better than Southland Tales. Southland Tales was a vanity piece trying to be a political propaganda film. Antichrist is just simply a horror film. Or is it?

In a move reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger's role as mythical strongman Conan the Barbarian, Nevsky will play the classic Roman hero adopted from Greek legend (where he's called Heracles).

Hercules also will star in a competing feature project that Millennium Films is developing.

The true story centers on Nelson, a TV repairman who in the 1960s joined a group of enthusiasts who believed they could cheat death with a new technology: cryonics. But freezing dead people so scientists could reanimate them in the future turned out to be harder than Nelson thought.
