How did the Academy find this concept good enough to give the film a Best Picture nomination? Oh wait, it wasn't the film itself. It was Harvey Weinstein promoting the film to be nominated!
That was a pretty bad twist, but I thought her portrayal was very close to how it was. She didn't intend to be EVIL per se, but was following without thinking, which is how most evil takes place.

First of all, that wasn't intended to be a 'twist'. It was illustrating (quite effectively IMO) the theme of truth vs. honesty. I know I'm outnumbered here, but I really loved that movie. It was one of the few movies I saw last year that simply blew me away. The Reader and The Wrestler were far ahead of everything else I saw last year.
