Wow. Johnny Deep vs. Michael Caine is a big one. At least i think it is a big one. Michael Caine is a classy actor, but i think Depp has been bringing in performances better than anyone else lately, my vote goes to him.

Let me help you, my French friend. PS is always great, even in bad films. Leo has had some awful performances, such as Gangs of New York. PSH is an easy win for me.

Oh. It's been 10-9 for days now and then someone goes and votes after I make the comment. Ah well. I don't particularly mind who goes through out of these two, both are fine actors.

Next vote wins for this, so even if they re-tie, please let me know. Also, if you haven't seen the other three threads (for the 70's-80's, 50's-60's, and 40's-before) please vote in them. They get a little more than half the votes as this one, so somebody is missing. At least vote on the Bill Murray/Meryl Streep matchup because it is tied as well.

I hope Brad Pitt wins. I'm not a big fan of Daniel Day, but I have a newfound respect for Brad Pitt after watching 12 Monkeys again the other day. Someone said (Elizabeth Banks?) that he is "a great character actor in a leading man's body." And I think that's a great description.

I voted for DDL but it wouldn't surprise me if Pitt wins. A few from this era have gone the wrong way. Spacey should have beaten Hanks for example.

This match-up is bullshit. I haven't even voted yet, but I already know it won't make a difference. Edward Nornton will take it in a landslide and Julia Roberts who is a far more talented and versatile performer will be an also-ran despite that she's been one of the most consistent actresses for almost 2 decades now.

But, "Ed Norton was just soooooo awesome in American History X!" Oh, yeah. How silly of me to forget that.

FYI Stn... I was the other one that voted with you (unless you never did vote). While I'd rather watch a Norton film, she's better at the profession. My favorite Norton performance was probably The Score, though I thought he was great in American History X, Fight Club, 25th Hour, Red Dragon, and The Italian Job. Wish TIH qualified, but I don't think his decent performance saved it. Maybe it would have if it were released last year, but in the Summer of Crime Fighters (TDK, IM, H2)? Hopefully its not the movie that throws him off the cliff.

Cmon Russ! Hope he wins, Depp is awse but hes up against an Aussie so yeah, no chance. And Downey vs Leo will be good but i think Downey has just been too good of late. But yeah all the matchups went the right way i reckon. Good job
