AP 25 B Ladder League Standings

Ok guys, I now know how much work Shryke puts into his Super Leagues. Although in a very basic manner, I have assembled the new Top 25 B Ladder League which has combined the C League into it, as well as attempting to rectify FM's mistakes. Here are the current standings:

I've got Milk on my slate. Did that get 5 PTA points this week? If so that takes my PTA total to 12; you have it down as 7; and it also icrease my IMDB. In your defence FM has my total PTA as 8 because they have not included any figures for Milk.

Dammit, I'm not very good at this, already making mistakes.... There must be an easier way to this though. I had to go through every individual slate on the FM pages and add up each total, then put those onto a spreadsheet and then work out rankings. A LOT of work.

Are all these people on this site? It would also make it easier if you just updates the people that are actually registered...

I agree. It makes it a lot easier.

are we keeping track of the a leagues as well?

Someone is for BO, but not ULT. There's not really a point to the B league without an A is there?

My brother said there should be some way to use a database that would make it easier, but I'm not sure exactly how.

If anybody has any ideas I'd be keen to know, as I can tell you the ULT was very difficult to assemble. BO should be up as soon as the actuals come in.

Right, I've been working on this all week, and I finally have an understanding of how to work out Shryke's spreadsheet system. If everyone wants me to I can finish off this weeks standings and post them today, or would you rather just wait until next week now with the new updates?

Okay, here are the standings as of last weekend. JackO looks to have an unassailable lead with only a couple of weeks remaining, but it will be interesting to see who makes the final 3 spots for the chance to jump up to the A League. silversurfer19 (yay me!) is currently in with a chance, but with the number of studios with films set for release in the next couple of weekends, it really could go to anyone. Well, except codeslinger who is trailing the field almightily. He did only pick two movies however.....

Sorry, I was asked just to ignore the slates of those not really participating in the new forum. That cut the field down a little. I will change that this week though, as last week was a very rushed effort and a learning tool for using the spreadsheets Shryke uses. I'll try to include everyone who is registered on the site this week.

dang! i suck at this game.

I don't even remember my slate but it looks like it was too PTA heavy. But I'm happy with winning the PTA and IMDB categorys (if they hold up for one more week.)

That was an enormously PTA heavy slate, with a couple of blockbusters added in for value. You will most certainly win the PTA categories, and the only players with movies left are:

JackieB (The Uninvited)
BanksIsDaFuture (The Uninvited)
transformers (The Uninvited).

I would say that makes you pretty safe in the imdb department too.

Yeah, sorry bout this league, I've been having trouble with spreadsheets (in that I don't know how to use them) and I haven't had a lot of time. It's unlikely we'll be caught. JackO is all finished but should bring in some money and maybe PTA from Slumdog and The Wrestler. I still have Underworld and Gran Torino going strong, while you have Paul Blart. JackieB has The Uninvited to release, while Fixius is relying on Paul Blart. Spectre has Underworld.

THanks for posting my slate Surfer. I wanted to know what I had, but you saved me from having to ask.

The following is a copy of my post for the A League. Wanted your opinions as well.


EDIT: I would like advice or thoughts as to whether or not Anny and Ash should move on to the next round if they make the cut even though we know that they will most likely not have slates for the next round. Do we allow them to stay in and then get cut next round due to no slate or just cut them now and allow a few extras from the B league in their place? This doesn't affect me this round since I am not in the bottom. LOL

I think cut them from the league, but don't go filling up lots of spaces from the B league as we still want that league to be competitive also. Maybe just cut them from the league, and keep the top 5 being promoted as is.

Cutting 5 will be a huge change as the league only has 17 people including Anny. Maybe top 3 instead of top 5 get bumped up??? And we can drop Anny and the bottom 2 players.

If B league has 25 players registered here and A league has 15 (17 minus Anny and Ash) then why not equal them out to 20 each. Promote 5 from the B league and only drop Anny and Ash. Call it a balancing amendment due to change of venue.
