Predator Is Back....

...in the form of a reboot being directed by Robert Rodriguez. It is set to open on Wednesday, July 7th, 2010 so I don't know if he is doing the back after Nerveracker or if Nerveracker is being put on hold make this film. The plotline is currently under wraps but Fox seems to be pretty high on Rodriguez's screenplay.

it looks like Rodriguez might just be producing this one.. (though if they use his original screenplay, i'll be pumped either way).. Nerveracker is still on.. where the fuck is Sin City 2

Sin City 2 is in turnaround. Apparently, MGM is now going to distribute but they have not announced anything yet.

According to Jessica Alba, Sin City 2 is in pre-production. Then again, we've been hearing that for years.

And Rodriguez is getting as bad as Taratino, always promising shit but rarely ever doing it. He's got Nerveracker, Red Sonja, Sin City 2, Machete, and I guess half of this Predators movie all supposed to happen within the next year.

Shit, I'm still leery on if Inglourious Basterds is actually being made, or if Taratino just shot a trailer Grindhouse-style to fuck with us.

Well apparently Tarantino made Inglorious Basterds because it's premiering at Cannes.

I also read somewhere that Eli Roth is definitely going to be directing a full length Thanksgiving. I'm excited for that as that faux trailer looked great. Now if we could just get Edgar Wright to direct Don't....

I'd rather see a feature-length Werewolf Women Of The S.S. Though a lot of people may be lost on the reference to the Ilsa series, Nicolas Cage's role alone would be worth the price of admission.

Rob Zombie is a horrible film director.. he still doesn't realize that movies aren't supposed to be 90 minute music videos.. and Sheri Moon is hot--but she should not be allowed to speak on camera

I agree on Zombie, I don't know what attraction to his movies are. I work with this guy who says he is "Amazing". Fuck that. I've only seen two of his movies, The Devil's Rejects and Halloween, but to me he's nothing, besides the characters, there's nothing great about his movies. Maybe he'll get better as he does more, but he's definitely not a natural.

Meanwhile, I found Thanksgiving the weakest of the trailers. It's a good trailer but it doesn't have that payoff that the others had. You're waiting for that payoff, you keep waiting for it and then the trailer just ends. No big payoff or major surprise. At least Death Proof made up for it.

I even liked Hobo With A Shotgun (the trailer that was only in the Canadian release) more than Thanksgiving.

I read somewhere that Red Sonja is on hold, and was only supposed to be "produced" by Rodriguez. Also, from what I read on /film, Machete will be directed by both Rodriguez and someone else before Predators is filmed. As for Nevercracker and Sin City 2, well, that's anybodies guess. Rodriguez should stop making kids movies and just make all the cool shit he talks about.

I hope Predators turn out great, as much as everyone hates Predators 2, for some reason I really like it - but hated the AVP series of shit films.

PS. I like Rob Zombies films.

P.P.S. Me too. I liked Devil's Rejects even more than I did House of 1000. Smile
