May Pricing Scheme (Prelim) Empty May Pricing Scheme (Prelim)

Post by Shrykespeare Sat Apr 18, 2009 4:50 am

Well, I now have the pricing schemes of no less than ten "panel" members, and whoa nelly, the results are all over the map. This is going to be a very interesting May season.

Here is who have turned in pricing schemes:
Shrykespeare
Buscemi (still needs to send me pricing for the late additions)
deflinasu
JackO
undeadmonkey
transformers2 (still needs to send me pricing for the late additions)
A_Roode
SuperShaan
jas_8382

Still waiting on:
Mister Informative
geezer9687
Chienfantome

As of now, I am removing the top and bottom prices for each title and averaging the other eight. However, if I get an eleventh (or twelfth, or thirteenth) scheme turned in, I will be removing the top and bottom TWO prices and averaging the rest.

As it stands, here is how the top films are shaking out. (REMEMBER, THESE ARE NOT FINAL NUMBERS, SO DON'T START BUILDING SLATES YET!!)

Ultimate:

$46 - Transformers: ROTF
$40 - XMO: Wolverine
$40 - Terminator: Salvaation
$37 - Harry Potter & HBP
$36 - Star Trek
$36 - Up
$36 - Ice Age: DOTD
$35 - Night at the Museum 2
$34 - Angels and Demons
$27 - Public Enemies
$22 - Land of the Lost
$22 - The Taking of Pelham 123
$21 - Bruno
$20 - Year One
(All other titles are below $15.)

Box Office:

$45 - Transformers: ROTF
$38 - Terminator: Salvation
$34 - XMO: Wolverine
$32 - Star Trek
$32 - Night at the Museum 2
$32 - Ice Age: DOTD
$32 - Harry Potter & HBP
$31 - Angels and Demons
$31 - Up
$24 - Public Enemies
$19 - Land of the Lost
$18 - Taking of Pelham 123
$18 - Year One
$17 - Bruno
(All other titles are below $15.)

Very intersting.

WOW. Plenty of PTA BARGAINS in Ultimate if the pricing scheme holds up. Also Transformers 2 at less then half the budget? There are going to be some Ginormous box office slates! Will 1B be attainable again?

*note* I am not judging. In fact, I think I can make Just The Right Mix with these prices.

Yikes! I suspect my prices ended up being the lowest (and therefore droppped) on most of the films. I don't think I had anything higher than $35 in Ultimate. I like it when you can pick two or three of the big summer films in various combos.

With those prices, I have a feeling that I won't reach the max of 8 films this time...

Unfortunate acronym time! That makes me wish this forum had the appropriate emoticon.

Michael Bay's Armageddon definitely had me ROTFLing at the unabashed idiocy of it all, but Transformers was more GMEO*

You were in a few cases, Roodey, but not on all of them. JackO ended up being (far and away) the highest in most cases. I'll send all of you a copy of the complete lists of schemes when all is said and done.

I'm not going to be doing one Shryke. Sorry, I just don't have the time and it just wouldn't be up to my standards. Maybe next month.
