New Features

I've added several new features to make posting a little easier for everyone.

1. Multi-Quote: Basically, if you click on this button it will activate, and what this does is that it remembers the posts you want to quote, and then puts them all together in the same post, to make it easier for you to quote several different posts at once.

All you have to do is press the button, and then continue reading/browsing the topic. You can also go to other pages and do the same thing, the quotes will still be remembered. When you have selected all the quotes you want, just click the POST REPLY button, and the quotes text will be there waiting for your comments.

Quicker, faster, and more efficient than one-at-a-time.

2. Quick Reply: Well, it's exactly what it says it is. If you just want to post a quick reply without using the basics, then the quick reply box is available for you on the same page as the other posted messages. Nice and easy to use.

brockman has suggested a good idea where there are 'trophies' for the leagues you win under you username. I am currently looking into this to see if i can implement something like it.

Here is a very good idea from W (Mr. Idea man himself) regarding the 'trophies':

For the "Trophies" deal: I've seen on other forums just like this where you can get gold usernames, flashing usernames, etc. I think all you'd have to do is create a new group for each thing. Like winning a regular league or super league could net you a bold username and winning an entire superleague gets you a gold username... And it could be successive like you get for posts.

The groups could be like:
League Winners: Bold Usernames
2x Winners: Blue + Bold Usernames
3x Winners: Purple + Bold Usernames
4x Winners: Green + Bold Username
5x Winners: Orange + Bold Usernames
10x Winners: Flashing Username

Super League Winners: Gold Username

Now, this would be easy to do, and we could have a list up in the FAQ section about what name colors mean.

However, i would need a full list of all the Regulars leauge winners, the box-office contest winner, and the super-leagues winners.

What do people think of this?

I like this idea. Would we be starting it from when this site was created? or would we be going back to the FM winners too?

Also, instead of bold for only one win I think we should do colors for all of them...bold doesn't necessarily stand out...

We would be going back all the way. If the players are registered here, they'll be credited for their win.

With the Superleauges, it will be the tournament as a whole.

Agreed about the bold, but that is a small point that can be talked about later, right now i just want to see if people are on board with this.

As I said somewhere else, I love the quick reply. The multi quote will make it a lot easier too

I think the individual rounds of the Super Leagues should count towards the overall wins as well. But you only get the gold username for winning the whole thing.

Also, shouldn't we do since this site was created? It'd be hard to figure out who won what for a defunct site.

It's only for the regular leagues. I know Shryke has a list of all the past winners. We can't make different colors for every single league.

I won't bother posting winners of individuals rounds in the Super Leagues; that would get redundant after a while.

Agreed on the winners of the individual rounds...we'd run out of colors too fast.

The site has been looking pretty good lately and I really like the quick reply and multi quote options. Now we can all post like Nico/Swedge. (SwedgeHammer is a great nickname, to bad he left us. Again.)

Good idea about the trophies for league winners W.

I think we should add a special thing for Delfi's Super Box office Year League thingy too.

Just thought of this;

For admins, will the Red font for admins be removed to make way for a tourney win color??? So far this only affect you Barcs, but it may happen to SS. Eventually. LOL

The flashing username idea sounds great.

Just added a new BoxOffice widget to the portal. Fits in nicely i think.

I think it looks pretty cool, though I don't think many of us will actually use it since we pretty much know what's going on.

I know.. It's just informative is all.

How about a 'rant' section somewhere...where we can't vent about things about movies, actors, etc. that piss us off...I know recently Shryke ranted about the Crank movies, while Buscemi ranted about Fast and Furious...might be a fun way to go back and forth at each other in a seperate thread and it wouldn't bog down the other threads so much.

Agreed. As long as its better than JoBlo's Rant section.

And I love the different color names and the trophies under them.

Define a rant section.. Couldn't a 'rant thread' just be created in the free-for-all area?

Yeah. We had a rant thread over on FM and if I recall correctly it was quite popular. It doesn't need a section, just a thread.

It may be nice just to have it's own section...keep the free for all nice and chipper...and then have another section you can go just to blast different subjects....

Yep, that was one of my lesser know ideas. :) It was about films or just everyday life and it helped relieve some stress, I'm sure. I say we just start a thread.

Agreed. Thread is better than a whole sub-forum for ranting.

It would be cool to have a 'Stats' section on here somewhere. Examples: "Largest ever margin of victory in a BO League (Ultimate or Regs League)"; "Highest total BO ever"; "fewest $$ used in Ultimate for winning slate"

You get the picture...I thought it might be cool to have something like that...almost like a "Hall of Fame"....if you will.

That sounds like a great idea, would also take about 5 minutes to set up. So, if anyone has the stats, just send them over in a PM and i'll put them up.
