Today's How The Fuck Did This Happen
In this year's Annie Awards (which usually gives it to the right films), Kung Fu Panda beat Wall-E for Best Animated Feature (along with winning nine other awards). Apparently either they wanted to stop giving it to Pixar every year or DreamWorks was heavily involved with the balloting. Kung Fu Panda was a good film but compared to Wall-E, it's Shark Tale or even Doogal!
But then again, it's just an award ceremony and most of them are wrong anyway.

Because Kung Fu Panda is a better film than Wall-E.
Look for the upset at the Oscars! The Academy will be angry that a children's movie is garnering such attention and they'll rebel against it and pick Kung Fu Panda.

never seen Kung Fu Panda......... pretty decent chance that I never will (but, who knows)... either way, Wall-E was great--and it will be remembered for years to come..
one thing about film award ceremonies is that, only occasionally, do they actually award the movies that will stick with us throughout time and remembered as truly "great" films.. that process is much more organic, widespread, and natural.. it's unfortunate that we don't have an emissary from 75 years into the future to tell us which movies are still watched and loved by new generations.. it'd be nice to give proper praise to those who truly deserve it................... until then, i guess, we have to settle for the Oscars..... (bleh)

The Annies are supposed to represent the best in animation. To give it to Kung Fu Panda over Wall-E is like awarding Shark Tale over The Incredibles or Open Season over Cars. I liked Kung Fu Panda but it's cheap, Saturday morning material compared to Wall-E. It seems as if they paid more attention to the worldwide gross and the big names (Panda made more due to its overwhelming success in Asia) than to the reviews and audience satisfaction.
Hopefully Wall-E gets its revenge by winning both Animated Feature and Sound Editing (to get back at Panda's multiple voice acting nominations).

And from checking out the winners, Wall-E did not win a single Annie award while Kung Fu Panda won ten.
Here is the complete list of this year's joke of a ceremony (notice that Thomas Newman's Academy Award-nominated score to Wall-E wasn't even nominated):
