okay, i wasted my 200th post correcting Surfer's grammar.. (sigh).. and it's late.. and i need to get up early (which is RARE for me).. so here's another game to tide you over until my 300th post (for which i just KNOW you're on the edge of your seat in anticipation):

So what is the purpose of this game? I don't understand it.

Oh tower defense games.... they devour my free time. Curse you and bless you, NSPan!

Boosch, the idea is that there's a track in which a row of monsters, or "creeps" travel, usually from one side to the next. Your task is to kill them all before they reach the other side. You do this by planting cannons, which have various qualities (simple gun, bombs, slow-down cannon). For each creep you kill, you get cash which you can spend upgrading your cannons or researching new ones. The Creeps get harder to kill in each round, so you have to place your cannons carefully.

There's loads of variations of defense games online. I'm a fan of Desktop Tower Defense, for example.

I guess I'm just not into this game. You can't shoot at your own will or control your weapons, you can't place the weapons on the path and what is up with the timer? And sometimes I can't even use certain weapons.

Those damn pumpkins!!!

Ok that one is kind of fun ever though I can't seem to beat any of the easy levels. I even created a bombardment at a choke point but those damn pumpkins are too fast and I can't afford a slow tower. Boo!

play the easy levels (Jungles and Plains).. place your towers in spots where you'll have two distinct opportunities to hit the enemies--keep in mind that your range of attack for each tower will increase as you upgrade and pay for research.. speaking of which, UPGRADE your towers.. upgrading is almost always more efficient than building a second tower (the exception is with "slow towers").. a good portion of the game can be completed using nothing more than a couple grenade towers and, perhaps, a gun tower placed closer to the end of the level (as a "safety").. upgrade when necessary.. work your way to using missle turrets and, ultimately, a laser megatower..

the trick to a high-score is spending the absolute MINIMUM amount of money in order to complete each level.. your score grows with interest (and, depending on your strategy, finance centers aren't always a bad investment)

for fans of tower defense games, this one has really grown on me.. definitely one of my top 3 favorites..

for people who have never heard of a tower defense game, give it a try.. they look simple but, in order to succeed, they require a pretty in-depth strategy--and they're a lot of fun

I got 34167. The key is absolutely build up to those laser mega towers.

good call. 41219. finished the game with only two towers: both lasers.. one was upgraded all the way, the other only partially

So are you selling the early towers when you get the next level cannons and then those when you get the laser towers???

i didn't sell anything until i got my first laser tower... after that, the old stuff becomes kinda worthless anyway.. i only had seven towers throughout the entire game (two grenades, one missle, one turret, one big turret, two lasers)... and that second laser tower isn't necessary until the last round--assuming you're upgrading the first one as needed

[sigh] Still trying to get past 1000.....

Some tips:

Start with a couple of grenade towers, place them at corners so they have the most range possible.

Put one small gun at the end in case anyone gets past the grenade towers.

Upgrade them as you go, rather than buying new towers. It is vastly more effective.

Don't bother with slow towers.

Get the explosives and gun research centers as soon as possible and upgrade them to level 3.

Once you've done that, do the same with the electronics research.

Buy LaserMegaTower!!!!

Upgrade research centers, upgrade LaserMega Tower.

Don't die!!! Each life is worth 1000 points!
