Re: Daily Trivia Question - Honor System
The correct answer is A. Mainly a stage actor from what I hear, John Cazale was in a total of 5 films in his career before dying of cancer. They were The Godfather, The Conversation, The Godfather Part II, Dog Day Afternoon, and The Deer Hunter. ALL FIVE made the IMDb Top 250 and ALL FIVE were nominated for a Best Picture Oscar with three of them winning. The average rating of every film he's been in is 8.52. I don't believe anyone else is close.
Also, he was engaged to Meryl Streep when he died.
Heath Ledger has only 2 - The Dark Knight and Brokeback Mountain.
River Phoenix has only 1 - Stand By Me
James Dean has none - Though "East of Eden" has an 8.1 rating which is usually good enough. Also, I would have figured Rebel Without a Cause to fit into the top 250 as well.

Question #2
The films "Paradise Lost" and "Paradise Lost 2: Revelations" both tell the plight of three innocent young men falsely convicted and imprisoned for the murder of three younger boys in which American city/town?
A. West Memphis, AR
B. Lubbock, TX
C. Providence, RI
D. Clarksburg, WV
On a side note, if you guys get a chance, check out those two films, or, if you're more inclined read the book "Devil's Knot" by Mara Leveritt. Eye opening stuff.

A
I actually sat through a panel on Cuban-US relations a few years ago and one of the professors on the panel helped get some Cubans exonerated. See, Cubans that came during the Mariel boat lift were considered criminals even if they didn't do anything and weren't given citizenship status. If any crime no matter how small was committed (jaywalking, for instance) they had no paperwork and were thrown in jail to await trial, which never came because they're not citizens and they don't have status elsewhere either.
Anyways... That's about it.

And back then I was a student, so I'm like, "Damn, I gotta go to this?" I really liked it though.

Re: Daily Trivia Question - Honor System
It wasn't just the film Scarface, though they referenced it by name, but the entire idea that all of the people that came over in the Mariel Boat Lift (*if someone doesn't know what this is, I'll explain it at the bottom) were thugs and criminals, which the film helped popularize.
In fact, most of the people from the Boat Lift just wanted to get out from under Castro and this was their chance... Maybe their only chance. There were some prisoners in there. Some that were political and some that were murderers/rapists/etc, but that wasn't the average.
*The Mariel Boat Lift is what occurred at the beginning of Scarface and is how Tony Montana got to this country. After some stuff I won't go into between the US and Cuba, Fidel decided to let anyone with family in Cuba to come and pick them up. People say that he let all of the prisoners loose and personally saw that every one of them got on the boats. That's not completely true, but no one will know for sure how far it went.

After answering I looked up some info about these movies and would be interested in watching them, but they don't seem to be easily available locally. (like a lot of quality documentaries)
