Just watched Kung Fu Panda.
I actually enjoyed it. I even laughed a few times. It is officially my favorite Dreamworks animation.

This morning I watched Doctor Detroit (Dan Aykroyd as a college professor by day, pimp by night) and this afternoon I watched Stakeout (Richard Dreyfuss puts the moves on Madeline Stowe while Emilio Estevez watches).
Man, Emilio Estevez is awesome. I've got to watch The Breakfast Club again.

Rewatched Brick after a bit of debate about it on this forum. My second viewing, and I wasn't bored. Not just because of the breakneck speed of the dialogue, but because it had more depth and emotion than most classic noirs.

Feeling in the Christmas spirit, I watched Bad Santa. Still as funny as I remember it.

Just watched Walk Hard Again. Such a great movie.

Over Christmas I watched A Christmas Story, introducing my family to the classic, and A Nightmare Before Christmas. Both movies never get old and I still notice new things on each viewing.
Tried to go see Benjamin Button yesterday, but almost every cinema was sold out. I guess this is gonna be big over here!!

Just watched Kung Fu Panda and The Incredibles last night.
KFP is my 2nd favorite movie of the year, after The Dark Knight. That was a huge surprise when I saw it in the theaters, 9.5/10
The Incredibles holds up well, I was surprised to like it this time since I fell asleep back in 04 in the theater, 8/10

I haven't updated this for a while, so working backwards, most recent first :-
Spiderman 3 4.5/10
Sweeney Todd : The Demon Barber of Fleet Street 8/10
The Fast and The Furious (1955) 5/10
Arrested Development Season 2 - loved Ben Stiller's episode, the best ep of season 2.
The Pink Panther (2006) 7.5/10 considering the original made my list of 100 fave movies ever I was pleasantly surprised by this remake that honoured the original but made itself it's own movie.

Return to Me is actually my gf's favorite chick flick Leestu. I had generally the same reaction as you to it.

I have Return to Me on an old VHS (though no VCR sadly), it is really an excellent chick flick so don't diss it!

My mother also really likes Return To Me. It might seem like a vanity project on paper but it's a decent ensemble film.
I watched the South Park episode Make Love, Not Warcraft. The boys' transformations are disgusting but the episode was very good.

I would not have expected Return To Me to be the film from my recent list that generated responses. I hadn't even heard of it until just before we watched it. You guys continue to surprise me. I love it.

It came out in the US in 2000 and did decent numbers. It probably gets respect because of the cast and Bonnie Hunt as director, who's better known as a comedienne and actress.

I re-watched Wanted and found it utterly lacking the second time through. I liked it when I saw it in theaters, but rewatching it without the spectacle showed a lot of lame camera tricks used in place of story or characters. I'm glad I didn't buy it like I was originally planning too...

I saw Wanted in theatres and was disappointed that there was no story with Mr. X. Even though he was on-screen for about two minutes, he was way cooler than Cross. Like how Clarence was cooler than Dick Jones in RoboCop.
Well, I was disappointed in that and the film's overlength (as in, they could have easily edited the first forty minutes into ten minutes and you wouldn't have lost any story).

Just finished watching Blade Runner, the final cut. I will never get tired of this movie, and seeing it in this version has only further enhanced my love of it. The film is much cleaner, with superior sound and a subtle use of cgi which only improves the viewing. I will now just have to get around to watching all the other extras and versions of the 5 disc set!!!

I saw Kabluey last night. While it wasn't boring, it did kind of have a single point and hammer it home over and over and over again. It's has it's moments of drama and comedy but it is very cliche and forgettable. 4/10

I rewatched Pink Floyd The Wall for the umpteenth time last night, but this was the 1st time I have watched it on DVD with extra features, commentary etc. So far I have only watched the feature (9.5/10), but I am looking forward to watching the extras to find out how my interpretation of the movie compares to the creators.

Do they explain why all the dialogue is so much quieter than the songs (or why you have to turn it up louder than usual just so you can listen to what the characters are saying)?

Re: what are you watching RIGHT NOW.... or somewheres about close to "right now"
Jumper would have worked better had Doug Liman and Simon Kinberg not done the film and cast Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson (who apparently has ties to Liman, considering she was also on the Doug Liman-produced The O.C.) as the good characters. Also, it needed more Diane Lane (she made Untraceable good but wasn't given enough scenes to make this one good) and Jamie Bell should have also been a good guy.

For once I agree with you Buscemi. Jumper would have been so much better if the acting wasn't so bad.
