Re: Clash of the Titans Remake
You wish.
The original version was, like, the awesomest thing I had ever seen, but I was like 12 years old at the time. Looking at the Ray Harryhausen special effects today make me realize just how freakin' old I am. It was still a cool movie, though. I loved the mechanical owl! (Wonder if Bubo will be in the remake?)

I saw the 1981 version in 9th grade, in English class. I loved it, and this one looks fucking great.
I hope they move it to the summer...

Re: Clash of the Titans Remake
I expect that Warner Bros. will move it to the summer by trading its release date with Jonah Hex. Jonah Hex's filming is finished and has less complex effects. It also doesn't have as big of a potential audience. Clash Of The Titans doesn't look finished yet and doesn't have an ad campaign either. There is no way they will have it out by March.

I love the original and just hope this movie keeps the same magical movie making without relying only on better FX. I will still love it I am assuming.
Re: Clash of the Titans Remake
I own the original on dvd and it sits proudly between 'Flash Gordon' and the rest of my Ray Harryhausen collection. Fingers crossed they don't completely screw it up.

Re: Clash of the Titans Remake
Sorry to leave you in suspense. I've had a hell of a time trying to get on here lately. I'm almost too embarassed to say how many movies I've got on dvd (and I added another three today). Collecting them was my primary vice for a while... Of the Ray Harryhausen stop motion films I've got a pretty good collection:
Clash of the Titans
Jason and the Argonauts
The 7th Voyage of Sinbad
Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (with Jane Seymour, va va voom!)
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (with Caroline Munro, va va voomer!)
One Million Years BC (with fur bikini clad Raquel Welch, somebody get me a doctor!)
Mysterious Island
The Three Worlds of Gulliver
The last two are lesser projects but still a bit fun.
I've also got some of the Willis O'Brien ones: King Kong, Son of Kong and Mighty Joe Young and I had to buy the Irwin Allen version of 'The Lost World' so that I could get the second disc... which has the O'Brien 1925 stop motion version as a bonus feature!
So if you were talking stop motion that's what I've got. If you were talking classic 80's awesomeness, well... I don't even know where to start!
