Re: Obituaries
Man, I can't believe that at all. I was never a fan of his work in the 80s, and actually rank Dirty Dancing as my most hated film of all time, but I always liked the guy. He was great in Donnie Darko and really thought he had more to offer. That is a shame.

Re: Obituaries
Hey, Dirty Dancing is a complex study of human character. OK, maybe it's just a chick flick. But, to me, Johnny Castle was one of the most memorable characters of the chick flick genre, at least. Strong on the outside, sensitive on the inside. And there's a subtext there in Dirty Dancing about the American class system. Anyway, I also loved Swayze in To Wong Foo, Donnie Darko and The Outsiders.
