Also in: Mollie Sugden, the wisecracking old lady from Britcom Are You Being Served? has died at 86. She was the one who had a different-colored wig/hairdo every episode.

Also, Harve Presnell has passed away. I don't know if anyone besides me has ever seen "Paint Your Wagon", the Clint Eastwood musical, but he was in that. He was also in Fargo, Saving Private Ryan and Old School.

Not only have I seen it, but I rewatch it every 5 years or so. There is no better musical western comedy.

If it's anything like The Simpsons version, it's probably the greatest western ever.

I remember Harve most from Fargo and as John Travolta's boss in Face/Off.

This just in: Hall of Fame boxer Alexis Arguello has died at the age of 57.

That is TEN famous people dead in a span of eight days. In the six weeks prior, there was only one (David Carradine).

I found this quite shocking especially now that it looks like it was suicide. Had no idea he was now the mayor of Managua

Former NFL MVP and Pro Bowler Steve McNair was shot and killed this morning in a Nashville apartment. He was 36 years old. McNair played from 1995 to 2007 for two teams (the Oilers/Titans and the Ravens) and played in three Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl. He also shared a NFL MVP award in 2003 with Peyton Manning. The shooter has yet to be caught.

As a long time Titans fan, this really sucks. I have a Steve McNair jersey. He's always been one of my favorite players. He was one of the NFL's toughest players. Played through several injuries for his team. One of the greats. It's really too bad.

The latest on Steve McNair's death: it is said that the person who was with McNair in the apartment where he was killed was the murderer. The two were business partners in a Nashville restaurant and after she killed McNair, she killed herself. None of this has been confirmed but is said to be speculation.

Don't think she was his business partner. She was a waitress at Dave and Buster's and made sure to let everyone she knew know that she was dating Steve McNair even though he was married for 12 years and had 4 kids. I'm wondering if he was trying to break off the relationship, and that didn't go over too well with her

McNair, 36, was shot four times, twice in the head and twice in the chest, by a semiautomatic pistol, Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said during a news conference.

The woman, Sahel Kazemi, was killed by a single gunshot wound to the head and the pistol was found under her body, Aaron said.

Aaron said the two had been in a "dating relationship for past several months."

Also, KoKo Taylor died on June 3. She was the "Queen of the Blues". She appeared in the film Wild At Heart. And Sky Saxon died June 25. He was the frontman for the band The Seeds. Sky Saxon (and the Seeds) appeared in the movie Psych-Out.

I would put 2 to 1 odds on that exact scenario Keyser. Her 36 year old sugar daddy decides he has had enough young ass and she shoots him and then herself.

Good thing she killed herself. Buying a gun 2 days before killing a guy is premeditated. Murder 1 is a long sentence, usually life or the death penalty. So in this case she gets the death penalty and saves us the court costs. Smile

Plus she's a bitch for taking her affair with a married man so seriously. LOL @ her actually thinking McNair was going to leave his family for her.

Then she did a DAMNED good job! McNair is a major celebrity in Nashville and I'm sure the investigation is being handled extremely well.

There have been talks that McNair and his wife weren't the happiest of couples and that she may have even been ok with his dating another woman, but just didn't want to go public about it and ruin his family man reputation or hurt the kids. If you think about it, they weren't all that secretive. No matter what the circumstances, it is a tragic situation. His jersey is hanging on my wall.

Frank McCourt, Pulitzer Prize winning author of Angela's Ashes, has passed away at the age of 78. For those of you that listen to/watch Mike and Mike in the morning on ESPN, Frank was also Mike Greenberg's high school English teacher
