Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
Up has a good shot at winning next weekend if Pelham gets under $30 million.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
Dang I stayed away from Up cause I thought it looked too slow, and likely to be a solid but not stellar pick like WALL-E was, I don't think I had it in any slates at all.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
People just didn't expect Up to be better than Wall-E, unfortunately for them, it was.

Well, we use the June pricing list for the June Pickem, so it doesn't count in either if its not on the June-August pricing schedule...

I must have confused the pricing list with the actual schedule then. Where's that "slapping hand on forehead" emoticon?

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
Apparently, now ComingSoon is saying that The Hangover is actually #1 this weekend, just beating out Up. BOM hasn't updated anything yet.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
YES!!! I have the Hangover on almost every current Slate. And it is on all of the BO slates.
Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
Picking The Hangover on every slate was one of the best moves i have ever made as a player in this game.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
If we all have The Hangover on all of our slates, none of us will be gaining on each other.
Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
Yes but if you didn't have it then you are losing lots of cash for little money. I paid 6 bucks for it on a few of the BO slates... That is already a 7x multiplier.

Exactly. Shryke will have the exact numbers but I'd guess that at this point it was on at least 80% of all available slates. So much of the field had the film that the leagues are essentially seven film leagues this season instead of eight.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
Yeah, I think I had the Hangover on most of mine as well. The real question is did anyone take LOTL?

I avoided Land Of The Lost like the plague on the game. Reminded me too much of Speed Racer.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
Massive for the Hangover. It made more than half on Monday than it did on Saturday. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before. It was only down 41.9% from Sunday. Up was only down 25% from last Monday.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
It's Official 'The Hangover' is this year's 'Wedding Crashers'. 7.6 mil on Monday it's 4th day not being a Holiday weekend. Word of mouth right now is through the roof!
It's going to be a 200 million dollar comedy. And Up is looking monstrous. 4.5 on its second monday is beyond great for this great movie. Up will join Nemo & the Shrek's in the 300 million animated club.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
Slow down there, neither of those milestones are happening. Well, at least not according to what we're seeing right now. They both would have to do better for those numbers. The Hangover has to not be hit by The Proposal, Year One, and Transformers 2, while Up has Ice Age 3 to take its 3D screens and its audience.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
By the time that Ice Age comes around, Up will have gotten to $300 mill or at least very close.
The Hangover might have a touger time, but it's a lock for at least $130, or maybe $150. I'll think it'll do more, but that's the floor.

Re: LOTL/Hangover Weekend Tracking
One thing that I don't like is that Up is going to be getting all of the money from the 800 Proposal sneaks this weekend. So a lot less people will see Up this weekend than what numbers indicate, and I want people to be going to see Up plus it takes the fun out of the box office if the numbers aren't true.
