BRAND NEW FANTASY MOGULS LEAGUE WEBSITE!

Okay, now that I've got your attention, let me explain.

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by a guy in Italy named Filippo, who told me that he and his friends were trying to put together a website to replace Fantasy Moguls. Well, I'm here to tell you that they have done so... with a few notable changes.

1. First of all, the entire website is in Italian, but you can still figure out what you're doing.
2. There is only ONE league. It is public, it is Ultimate, and it starts in June.
3. There will be only one league every three months, not new ones starting every month.
4. This is a TRIAL run, to weed out the bugs.
5. You start out with 100 (lira?) to start, just like any other Ultimate league. The problem is, a lot of the prices are way too high. You'll have to cope with that.

There are links to every page's IMDb entry, as well as links to BOM, so there's that.


Interested in road-testing this website? Here's what you do:

1. Go to this link: http://www.provolona.com/mmgmogul/registrazione.php
2. Choose a Username (please keep your Fantaverse names, it will help us identify you), input your e-mail address, and choose a studio name.
3. Once you register, you'll receive an e-mail with a new link. Use it, choose a password, and begin selecting your roster. It's fairly user-friendly, you should have no problems navigating the site.

I can't figure it out, nor do i really care to.

Super! But... The pricing is completely destroyed... A bit high? The Proposal is 5 Lira, Julie and Julia is 3 Lira. Maybe it's a way to get something else, but in its current form, this is much better.

I joined, but honestly it just reminds me of what we used to have

are they going to be using american BO numbers? I hope so.

its actually quite easy geez, you pick the movies you want and press save. and there ya go.

too bad you cant make your own leagues. but maybe eventually. Would be great fun to play bankrupts leagues and all those weird ones W came up with and not have to worry about updating. That way we could play there and forum here, would be almost like old times.

From where I was, there were only 8 options. I can't navigate it because its all in jibberish.

Hi guys, I'm one of the italians that Shryke was talking about.
As I was just saying to him, this is a trial league that we started to see if everything works (fingers crossed...). If you join us, please, tell us about any bug, error... anything.
We know about the too high prices: it's one of the things that we will fix in the next league.
Anyway, if Shryke would like to price himself the movies on our site we'll let him with MUCH pleasure.
The private leagues are also one of the things that we're working on.
The biggest problem is starting a new league every month (because of a MASSIVE lack of spare time on our side), but eventually we still could figure out how to do that.

Oh, I forgot to tell you how to play:
once you are registered you'll be automatically signed-on to the only existing league ("MMG WAR 01").
To buy a movie click on its poster.
To remove movies from your roster click on the "X" that you'll find in the upper right corner of the poster.
To see the league page click on "MMG WAR 01".
That's all.

No problem. Umm... I have a suggestion. Shryke (and others) get their pricing lists done sometime next week. Why not just take those and plug them in... or if you can't, plug it in next time.

We could have some kind of partnership if you'd like and share responsibilities. We could have an Italian version of the site and an English version. I mean as soon as you get all the kinks out...

Hmm. I've joined, but I just feel liked I've raped everything we have been building over the last 8 months or so.....

It's very easy though, and just what we've always been after. If we could create some kind of link between our forum, Shryke's site and this site that would be brilliant, and as Filippo mentioned a lack of manpower, I'm sure he has more than enough on offer from the guys on here, if he wants us.

I'll forward that to our "tech-guys", 'cause the only thing I know is playing Ultimate Leagues and writing in english (or something like that...).

P.S.: our prices are in dollars. The B.O. numbers that we're using are american. By the way, in Italy we're not using "lire" since 2001 but euros

Where do I need to go after the registration page? It takes me to a page, its got 8 movie posters in the left corner, a user log-in and password in the right corner. Above that is the link to the league page. I have no idea where to go from here

Did you register on the registration page? If not, do so. If yes, check your inbox for an e-mail with a new link.

Insert your username and your password and click on "Entra" (right under the password).
You should be directed to the page where you can choose your movies. Your roster is on the right side ("I TUOI FILM"). After you complete your roster click on "Salva" (the small button under your budget).

Speaking of June pricing lists, I'll be posting those in just a little bit. Check the appropriate threads. (I'll also be e-mailing them out to players on Monday).

All the prices seem about right, except maybe Funny People may be a bit much at $35.

I like it. Very clean and easy. We should def think about combining their website with our manpower and maybe prices. Maybe have it both in Italian and English.
