Busci''s 2,000th Post
Yes, I'm already there. 2,000 posts. I obviously don't have a life.
Now usually I talk about how I am doing and how things are going, but I think I will do something different this time.
This time, you can ask me questions about things and I will try to answer them. Ask me questions about the game, the big summer movies, favorite movies, life outside of the game, anything. As long as I can answer it.
Fire away!

No, congrats on 2000, I'm working hard to catch up with you regulars, but I started a few months behind everyone else. Probably never catch you, not sure I should be trying. My wife says I should be trying to acheive other things.
But, lets see, a real question:
How long have you been playing the game?

The first time I played the game was in September 2007. And obviously lots of things have happened since then.
I started to become a regular poster in March 2008. Before then, I didn't even know a forum existed. Over there, I managed over 2,300 posts until the old site closed in November/December 2008. That was second behind Surfer, who had over 2,400 posts.

Favorite movie of all time?
Favorite Actor of all time?
Favorite Actress of all time?
Others probably know the answer to these questions, but not I.

I thought Chien beat me in the end because of Taken and He's Just Not That Into You. I only had Coraline and Confessions Of A Shopaholic to counter that.

Whatever happened with the girl you had a mild obsession over? Is it still off the cards?
And congrats Boosh on your 2000, I may have been the big poster over on the other site, but I just don't have the time now to be as obsessed with the game and you have filled my space very well. Always offer interesting perspectives on movies and good to have a discussion with.

Sorry, I deleted my post because I thought maybe you were referring to that as the December-February league, but yes, you definitely won that draft league.

Never mind dude. I know its an old saying but there are plenty more fish in the sea. Just be yourself and the ladies will flock. The happier you are in your own life has a definite impact on the opposite sex.

I'm not giving up yet. Sometimes life like that movie The Notebook, it can years or even decades to finally get that true love that you've wanted to for so long.
Not that I want to wait that long, but still.
And yes, I liked The Notebook. Nick Cassavetes is an underrated director and Rachel McAdams is a great actress.

And sometimes, life isn't a movie, and we have to move on so we aren't stuck wasting the best years of our lives chasing a pipe dream. Sorry if that was a tad harsh, but I say it with love. Something needs to click with you man. I know we disagree on everything, but that doesn't mean i don't like ya. And in this instance, it just gets me kinda sad.
Re: Busci's 2,000th Post
When I was younger I had it so bad over this girl. It almosted ruined my entire life. At the time I thought that was it. Now 11 years later, married to someone else with 3 kids. It's a wild sweet ride called life and it happens.

Congrats on 2000 Buscemi. You reached that milestone today and I reached 300 today. That puts your accomplishment in perspective.
My multi-part question is : do you work or are you a student? If so studying what? Do you have any ambitions or dreams (either realistic or in an ideal world type of scenario) of being a director or editor or producer or...etc. Basically putting your encyclopediac film knowledge to use.
Movie wise do you have a favourite genre? eg I'll watch any musical or horror, so I would call them my favourite genres. Which is why I must see Repo Genetic Opera.

Re: Busci's 2,000th Post
I am a student planning to go to community college in the fall. My major is undecided but I am hoping to major in film or something similar.
I plan to work in the film industry. I want to make my own movies and have sort of a business plan in doing this. If that fails, I may consider voice acting or a position in a studio marketing department.
As for your other question, I basically like all of the genres. If you've seen my Top 100 list, you see films of different genres and types. Even in some of the lowest genres (the teen sex comedy, the big-budget destruction film, etc), there are still some good titles to find.

Alright Buscemi, you plan to work in the film industry, but where? There are a ton of jobs. Editing, writing, key grip, showrunning, assistant producing, working the cameras, not to mention all the stuff that happens in front of the camera . . . so where do you want to end up?

I want to direct and write my own projects. I don't want to get swallowed up by the machine and be forced into terrible projects so I'm going to test the independent waters first. When it's time to get to the big time, I want to be ready. I want final cut and total creative freedom.

Congrats on the 2,000.
My question: What's your favorite car/racing movie?
(Is it Fast & Furious?)
(I bet it is.)
