That's exactly what it is like at my theater. Not worth $5 extra at all.

That's how it was when I saw The Dark Knight, and I really didn't get what the big deal was at all. So yeah, now I know.

Eh, I think the problem is actually going to go see a film on Imax that wasn't made for Imax. The Dark Knight and Transfomers: Revenge of the Fallen both have Imax scenes so the use of an Imax theater would be necessary for the full experience. Star Trek, NATM 2, Eagle Eye, and Terminator: Salvation are just films shown on a huge screen. I wouldn't pay extra money for that.

On top of that, I saw Star Trek: The 'Digital' Experience for 5 whole dollars. Why? because I went on a Thursday night.

I think this is much ado about nothing.

Terminator Salvation won't be in IMAX, as far as I know.

And the IMAX where I work is the digital smaller one. Whenever I worked selling tickets, I'd try to get people not to go with the IMAX because they always expect the ones like in the museums. I think all the retro-fitted IMAX locations all have this problem.
