Everything looks about right but I think Star Trek will open better than Angels and Demons. Star Trek actually has an advertising campaign (I have yet to see a trailer or TV spot for Angels and Demons).

Also, I think Dance Flick will have a $25-30 million four day opening weekend. Everytime I've seen the trailer, it's gotten a good to great reaction and it's there for the overflows for Terminator. And since Angels and Demons will have a big second weekend drop and Next Day Air will be gone from most theatres, it can finish as high as third on opening weekend.

I've been back and forth over Dance Flick...part of me thinks it will do well (remembering Meet the Spartans), but part of me thinks audiences are getting sick of these knock off movies. It's a toss up for me...but either way the imdb will be terrible.

Also, I've seen quite a few spots for Angels...but I think it's been on the Sci-fi channel (go ahead with the nerd jokes,LOL)...anyway, the trailer is pretty good for it, as is the trailer for Star Trek, which is also played quite a bit on the Sci-fi channel (go figure!)

Man Battle for Terra is looking rough now. I had such high hopes for it a month ago.

Wait... I still have T4 coming out on 5/21 and Museum on 5/22... so factoring in the Memorial Day weekend (which is on a Monday), T4 will have a 5-day weekend and Museum a 4-day one.

I don't know if Wolverine can do Iron Man numbers its OW, and Ghost will probably play just like Made of Honor.

I don't know Battle for Terra will do, but I personally want to see it. If that matters at all.

Wolverine is just starting to look better and better game-wise. I think it can beat Iron Man. I still think Iron Man is a tad over-rated.

Absolutely insane for Wolverine (where is the hype for this movie?). In fact, absolutely insane for all of the big movies except for ST. I don't see how NatM can do anything close to that. I was expecting about $40 million 3-day.

The only one I have a real problem with is NATM 2. I don't think people will rush out for it to give it that massive OW, and its legs will be cut off by Up. I have no idea why they picked this release date. They should have let it out the second weekend in June.

I think they should have gone for another Christmas release, it would have fared much better then. Certain movies benefit from Christmas, and the audience this is aimed at is one of them. Just ask the Narnia crowd!

It's tracking pretty strongly for having no audience lol!

Exactly, and as we've seen on numerous occasions so far this year, tracking means nothing.

I guess tracking is only a good indicator of a film if you are actively cheering for, otherwise it means nothing. Par for the course.

Agreed. While I think NaTM2 will make a fair amount of money, it will suffer from Prince Caspian syndrome and fall way short of the first. And they should've released another trailer, the only one they have is atrocious.

Prince Caspian syndrome

Don't get me started on Prince Caspian!!! I'm still bitter over this movie...I'm a huge fan of the books and whoever adapted this script should never work again (and also be kicked in the nuts)...granted the book isn't the best story in the Chronicles, but I think ol' C.S. was turning in his grave when he saw this movie...awful, just awful.

I thought it was ok, not great. Look on the bright side, at least we get Voyage of the Dawn Treader. On the flip side though, Fox is making it.

Yeah but Voyage is a much better story than Prince Caspian...if they do it right it's going to be awesome.

Agreed. It's a much better STORY. It involves exploration and adventure, not conflict.

And it stars Edmund and Lucy without Peter and Susan, which is good, because the younger two kids have always had more personality. It'll be cool to see the kid from Son of Rambow as their bratty cousin Eustace.

At the beginning he was, but he loses a lot of it over the course of the story.

So anyway, how about some actual TRACKING?
