Re: The "Guess the movie screenshot" Game
Geezer, the fact that they don't fight was the basic point of the movie. It was showing us that so many people are shipped off to war but very few people get to do anything important. In the end, many of us will regret ever serving because of what we did and why we did it.
Same thing with Platoon. Not much war and a lot of characters regretting, but we all remember it as a great war movie.

Re: The "Guess the movie screenshot" Game
Then the point of the movie was stupid. Its boring. Its not entertaining. Its pretty much pointless.
Re: The "Guess the movie screenshot" Game
But isn't that exactly what happened in real life? The war only lasted like 18 days or some shit, right?

Re: The "Guess the movie screenshot" Game
Whether it is or it isn't does not matter. If that is what happened, there was no real need to make a movie about it. Because there was no story, no characters you could care for (because there was no story to them) and no action to fall back on when you realize that you have no story. Which leaves you with a steaming pile of bull feces for a film.

After a month of no activity (due to the Jarhead debate), I'm going to bring back this thread. Here is the one that we left off with.

Lets re-start this. Here we go, a brand new pic:
WHEN YOU GUESS IT PUT UP ANOTHER SCREENSHOT. DON'T DISCUSS MOVIES SO THE THREAD DOESN'T GO COLD.

Re: The "Guess the movie screenshot" Game
No W, the first one is not Drop Dead Fred.
Hints for both films:
1.an in-name-only adaptation of a short story from a popular novelist
2.Canadian film, werewolves

I'm pretty sure something like this happens in The Virgin Suicides.
EDIT: when i quoted you i saw the movie name in the image title. so it's not TVS.
Re: The "Guess the movie screenshot" Game
It is not The Virgin Suicides. As I mentioned, this film has to do with werewolves.

The Lawnmower Man is correct.
But the other one isn't Dog Soldiers.

No, the last one I think is Ginger Snaps, but Leestu is definitely correct with Lawnmower Man.

And on The Lawnmower Man, it's humorous to note how Jeff Fahey and Trey Parker look alike.

I don't know if both Leestu and I should post a screenshot now, but I'll go ahead anyway:

Your turn.
You too, Leestu.
Note: next person has to get both correct.
