World Series of the Fantaverse

Remember way back, before we came here, there was an idea from an unnamed source (ok, it was me) to have a league encompassing the many different styles and cultures of FM? Well, I just wanted to gauge intrest for it again since we were vilely interupted by those we do not name. I need to know if you'd like to take a league to update and/or participate in the playing of them. The idea has been tweeked (or is it tweaked?) a little by myself. If you hate it, blame UDM for bringing back Bankrupts and jogging my memory. The basics go like this:

There will be x number of leagues month after month with a different style of play including (not limited to and maybe not including some of):

- Bankrupts for BO and ULT
- Odd/Even Leagues for BO and ULT (you get to pick)
- Hobo Leagues for BO and ULT
- Betting League (I think it sounds fun) where you start out with $100 and bet on odds for films, say 3:1 a film will win the weekend or 10:1 that a film will hit an 8.5 rating, etc. You can also make side bets with other players.
- Need some ideas...

Anyways, so you play those leagues and top 5 in each league gets points: 1st place = 5 points, 2nd place = 4 points, ect. Either the person with the most points wins OR you go to a final round of Ultimate where your points determine the amount of Cash you have to spend. If the first player has a total of 30 points, they would spend $100 while someone with 15 points could spend only $85.

I dont think we would get enough people to update leagues, so i would say that whoever wants to play updates their own slate, I mean come one, updating one slate is pretty easy. Not to mention shryke has the numbers for most films.

I just dont like that last league thing with the points and having less money thing.

If we didn't do that, we'd just add in a Regular ultimate and BO league and call it a day. Most points wins the series is what would happen otherwise.

I like the betting idea. That sounds fun.

We'll figure it out and start in June if that's ok or we could start with the bankrupts league that's just starting if that's ok with Banks?

How long/how many games do you want to make it? Any other games you can think of?
