I, on the other hand, went to see Lee Aaron. And I'm crying a little inside that no one will have any idea who I'm talking about. I was the youngest person there by a decade and she played songs from both her Jazz and Metal catalogues. Fun show!

went to Mastodon on thursday night. They were awesome as always. btw geez are you going to that Rise Against show in Boston in July? I believe i am attending.

I am really going to try, but I don't know yet. That is definitely a band I need to see again. They were incredible.

yeah ive heard good things about their live performance so i really want to see them.

I was on the front line of the floor when I saw them, ended up being handed a pick by Tim, it was awesome. I consider them the second best band of this decade, behind only Against Me!

Nice. Against Me! is a pretty good band i like Rise Against more but Against Me! is good. They put on a pretty good show when i saw them back in 07.

Seriously tempted Donte! I could probably do it too because I'm waiting on some serious bonus money for a job well done at work last year. Seeing Kix in concert has become an obsession of mine. I regret to this day not seeing Anthrax in concert when I had the chance six years ago (I didn't want to drive for an hour, how metal of me was THAT? ) Last time Twisted Sister came North of the Border, we had 80,000 fans waiting for them. Four Day general admission pass is beyond reasonable too. You've got me thinking I might be able to swing it.

kind of funny because i was brought up on Country music and i saw Sawyer Brown when i was 7.

Just saw 311 with Ziggy Marley and The Expendables last night. I had a good time. I mean, the show was nothing incredible really, besides the fact that by the time 311 actually came on we had been moved from the lawn into the seating area which was cool I guess. But the whole row directly in front of us was standing up and I had to watch the TVs in order to see the damn band. The only redeeming things were that we got to smoke blunts and that they played one of my absolute favorite songs as their final encore song...other than that, it would have been nice to be in GA which is what I usually do, but I didn't buy the tickets so...whatevs.

I went to Mayhem Fest yesterday and it was amazing. Every band minus Marliyn Manson and Trivium were awesome. My first time seeing Slayer and they were awesome. I headbanged my ass off during there set. A lot of you guys dont know the other bands that appeared so i wont go into them too much but it was great day of Metal.

btw Roodey if you want a copy of a Slayer's set i will post it it was a great set!

Glad you had a great time! Slayer, as I said before, puts on an awesome show.

Post the set list! When I saw them the encore was the entire 'Reign In Blood' album

Slayer played for 1 hr due to the fact that it was all day festival and they co-headlined with Manson.

Nice line up Six. If she looks anything like she did on the Pixies reunion of a couple of years ago, you'll find it absolutely hillarious that Kim Deal now looks like a soccer mom. Pretty sure she was wearing the full on turtleneck in the middle of summer to cover up all of the track marks though

At a local club in Fayetteville AR called George's Majestic Lounge on September 21st there is a pretty good show.

Silversun Pickups and Cage the Elephant are playing.

Weezer. Blink-182. Fucking amazing! So good to have the boys of Blink Back. And a day after they lose one of their best friends in DJ AM they were very clearly torn up about it. They didn't let that stop them, as they just got lost in the music and used it as it was intended when they first formed, an escape from all the bad shit in life. I don't care what your opinion of their music is, but those guys rock.

Just to name a few, even in low spirits they were hilarious. SO glad I got to see them in my lifetime. And on top of that Weezer was fucking spectacular! Just as good. Better than I ever thought they would be, and I'm a big fan.

Taking Back Sunday was about what you'd expect and Chester French sucked but no one was there for them.

I'm still trying to figure why Weezer opened for Blink 182. Isn't Weezer more popular right now?

This is Blink-182's reunion tour, and no, they are not even close to being more popular. They just never broke up and have continued to produce music, which is why you might think that, but I can tell you that this was Blink's show, through and through. Its not about current charts and radio play, its about an iconic band getting back together after several years of nothing.
