Watchmen vs. Wolverine. Who you got?
I'm torn between Watchmen ($38) and Wolverine ($40) for the March-May box office leagues. Any advice?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I cant really give advice, because i couldnt decide myself, in one league I took Watchmen and the other I chose Wolverine.
I do think that Watchmen is the bigger risk of the two though. Although, Wolverine has way more competition.

After having seen Watchmen last night, I may be switching more of my slates to Wolverine. Just not sure it's going to have any legs.

Wolverine has a much bigger target demographic than Watchmen. Also, Watchmen has a very long running time, and it has a very serious tone as well. It's not exactly a blockbuster.
I am looking forward to seeing both, but in terms of BO i think it will be a big difference because Watchmen is not the kind of film that is going to have repeat viewings or interest outside of the comic book crowd.

I am more torn between Monsters Vs Aliens and Wolverine. I have Monsters on my Super Contest because I really think it will do 240+ million. Wolverine should easily break 200 but it is in competition with Terminator and Star Trek.

I really can't decide on this one. Will Watchmen have a massive OW but then fall away Cloverfield style, or will it hold well and produce 300 type numbers. I really don't know. I'm obviously hoping for the latter. Wolverine, you would think, would be a lock for $200m in that time frame, but I'm also not sure after all the negative buzz going around for it, and then with numerous films the following weeks in comparison to Watchmen's largely barren field. In BO terms its tight, but maybe just swinging in Wolverine's favour as Watchmen is a wild card. Having said that, Wolverine is $2 more in BO, so could that $2 be spent wisely to make up for any lost earnings by taking Watchmen?
In Ultimate, I think Watchmen is the best choice. It will have a better IMDB, has more weeks to stack up top 5s and PTAs, and is in a less crowded field.

Watchmen. Wolverine looks like a campy mess that's bound to piss off more fans that impress. Plus, the trailers haven't really done that much to entice its audience.

To be a bargain I reckon it'd have to make at least a 6x multiple. That's $240m, which I don't think it'll reach in its one month of release. I'm still deliberating (better be quick) between Watchmen and Wolverine in BO, as I'm sure I could do something with that extra $2.
