Re: Fun and Random Trivia of the Day
This one is kind of cute:
Wife Vs. Secretary (1936)
"The name of one of the screenwriters, Alice Duer Miller, is seen as the author of an article in a magazine, and Clark Gable remarks, "Hey, Alice has written a very nice article here."

Trivia for the Day from 'The Emperor's Club' (2002):
"While on location at the Emma Willard School in Troy, New York, Kevin Kline stood in as an English teacher for several classes who were studying Shakespeare at the time. Students gave him rave reviews as an instructor."

Re: Fun and Random Trivia of the Day
Trivia for 5-27-09 is from Traitor.
That is fucking amazing.
The film was shot in a mere 48 days, through 17 cities spread over 3 continents, and all for the relatively low budget of 22 million American dollars.
That is fucking amazing.

Trivia of The Day (5-27-09):
From Reservoir Dogs
Kind of a dick move, but still hilarious.
From Reservoir Dogs
According to an interview on the DVD, Michael Madsen says that Kirk Baltz asked to ride in his trunk to experience what it was really like. Madsen agreed, but decided as he went along that this was time for his own character development. So he drove down a long alley with potholes, and then a Taco Bell drive-through before taking Baltz back to the parking lot and letting him out. The soda he ordered at said drive-through is the same one he can be seen drinking during his character's first appearance in the warehouse.
Kind of a dick move, but still hilarious.

Trivia for 5-28-09 is from Cool Hand Luke
Nice chain gang...
A Southern prison camp was built for this movie just north of Stockton, California. A dozen buildings were constructed, including a barracks, mess hall, warden's quarters, guard shack, and dog kennels.
While passing by the prison camp set, a San Joaquin County building inspector thought it was a recently constructed migrant worker's complex, and posted "condemned" notices on the buildings for not being up to code.
In the "road-tarring" sequence, the actors actually blacktopped a mile-long stretch of highway for the county.

Re: Fun and Random Trivia of the Day
Thought these were good, so I thought I'd share them.
The Hangover
"This is my Star Wars" -- brilliant move!
The Hangover
No effects or prosthetics were created for Stu's missing tooth. Actor Ed Helms never had an adult incisor grow, and his fake incisor was taken out for the parts of filming where Stu's tooth is missing.
Todd Phillips waived his usual salary and received part ownership of the film instead. In an interview with Howard Stern, Phillips said that due to the film's box-office success "this is [his] Star Wars (1977)."

Say what you want, I wonder what percentage he got. Even only 10% is likely at least $20 M.

And from The Spirit which I watched last night.
Me too. I looked her up on IMDB to find out who she was. Wow, hotness.
In an interview with Total Film magazine, Frank Miller admitted that he shouted "Cut!" instead of "Action!" just before filming Paz Vega's scene because he was so distracted by her costume.

Re: Fun and Random Trivia of the Day
Haven't done this in a while but ths one was worth the resurrection.
That is wild.
Javier Bardem turned down the role of Guido, being replaced by Daniel Day-Lewis. Both won acting Oscars the same night: Bardem in the supporting category (for No Country for Old Men (2007)) and Day-Lewis in the leading one (for There Will Be Blood (2007)). Catherine Zeta-Jones turned down the role of Claudia, being replaced by Nicole Kidman. Both also won acting Oscars the same night: Zeta-Jones in the supporting category (for Chicago) and Kidman in the leading one (for The Hours).
That is wild.
