Re: Date Changes - Wild Child, Sherlock Holmes, et al.
I guess Hotel For Dogs didn't have enough of an impact on Emma Roberts' career, at least not enough to make them release her movie she filmed before that. Who knows why Wild Child has been getting kicked around for awhile now.
Sherlock Holmes on Christmas? I wonder why it got pushed, November is pretty open.

I would say December is more open than November. I think its a good move, unless Avatar is going to be huge and then Sherlock would get steamrolled.
I find it more interesting that they are releasing Harry Potter 8 on the same day as The Avengers

Sounds to me like a classic game of chicken. Put two surefire hits on the same date and see which one blinks first and moves to a different date.
Re: Date Changes - Wild Child, Sherlock Holmes, et al.
Sherlock Holmes already blinked first though. It did not want to face the massive avalanche of tween girls with the release of New Moon.

What I meant was which film is going to blink first, Avengers or HP8.

Ah yes, now that is an interesting matchup!

The Avengers won't even be released then, that's why Harry Potter has been moved till then. There is no way Marvel will have this up and running if they can't even sort Iron Man 2 out, never mind Captain America, Thor and Ant Man. Harry Potter will have no competition.

Sherlock Holmes made a good move because it would have been crushed by New Moon.

Harry Potter 8 needs to just leave The Avengers alone in my opinion.

I agree with this. Iron Man 2 is looking like one big clusterfuck right now, and the way Marvel is acting, they'll never be able to pull of all of the character movies in time for 2011.

Well, color me surprised.
I'm amazed it took this long to pull it. This is going to leave a few people without an option in the January leagues.
Re: Date Changes - Wild Child, Sherlock Holmes, et al.
Typical Weinsteins. Sometimes, they've pulled films just days before they were set to open.

That's weird about The Janky Promoters. It got pushed back but the first trailer just came out last weekend.
And I think it's funny how All The Boys Love Mandy Lane is finally coming out - the same year as Jennifer's Body, which is extremely similar in every way.

Apparently, WB are a bunch of pussies, cause they've changed to the title to A Couple of Cops.

Wow do you think that they could find a more generic bland name than that? Maybe just 2 Guys? Cops? Kevin Smith's Next Watered Down Hollywood Movie?
Couple of Dicks has style. Couple of Cops sounds like what is said when the baker asks the cashier who ordered the 4 dozen jelly filled.

They could have at least changed it to A Couple Of Cocks. Lame.
