Date Changes - "The Informers", "The Horsemen", "Vanilla Gorilla"
According to Box Office Mojo and Filmjerk.com, the following changes have taken place that may affect the February season:
The Horsemen, originally scheduled for 3/13, has been bumped up one week to 3/6, where it will go against 12, Tokyo! and Phoebe in Wonderland for top PTA honors. Oh, yeah, and that Watchmen film too...
The Informers has been bumped from 4/10 to 4/24, which means, for the February season, it now has one week to make its bones.
Vanilla Gorilla, scheduled for 4/24, has now been pulled with no new released date scheduled.
Minor changes, to be sure, but still.

Here's a new release date change:
The Haunting In Connecticut has moved up from June 19th to March 27th. It will now be the sixth film opening that weekend.

I guess they are trying to attract the less discriminating summer crowd with The Informers. I still don't think it's going to work.

I really want to like The Informers. I'm a big Brett Easton Ellis fan and will watch any of his books which have been transferred to screen, but I just don't think this looks very good. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Maybe one day they will do Glamorama too, I've been hoping on that one for a while. I don't think we'll ever better American Psycho though, Less Than Zero was decent, while Rules Of Attraction was good for Shannon Sossamon and that's about it.

And for causing me to make infinite James Van Der Beek -- Peyton Manning identification mistakes.
Okay, they aren't exactly doppelgangers, but at least tell me I'm not completely crazy to think of that.

What will hurt The Informers at the box office: it is being released by a first-time distributor (Senator International, an acquisitions company apparently trying to follow in Summit's success with distribution) and it's being dumped into 400 theatres on opening weekend. Also since it is a first-time distributor, the company will have trouble trying to get theatres to run the film and many with likely pull it after a week.
In short, it's a risky pick despite being Mickey Rourke's first (actually second*) post-Wrestler role to be released.
*-Killshot was released two weeks ago to typical business for Weinstein dumps.

Another delay to report: All About Steve has been moved to the Fall from its original March 6th date. That is a shame since it would have made good counter-programming against Watchmen.

I don't know about SIXTH. At this point, I would be frankly AMAZED if Janky Promoters wasn't yanked. There is no trailer, no poster, no nothing. It's only a matter of time.

They should've moved it to April, if they had to move it. No chick flicks from now until May 1st, with The Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past. Unless you count Fired Up.

More Delays!
-A Perfect Getaway has been moved from March 13th to somewhere in August, perhaps late-August.
-The Accidental Husband has been removed from March 27th to TBA 2009. I imagine that the film will be going straight-to-video.

It was on EZ1 Productions's Box Office game (they mentioned that they had removed them for their game). Also, IMDb's message board for A Perfect Getaway had a mention (said that they found it on Milla Jovovich's site).
Meanwhile, you can't really know with The Accidential Husband. The distributor is bankrupt and has been delaying films lately almost without any announcement (like they did with Possession, delaying that one less than two weeks before its set January 23rd date).

This just in: as with The Accidential Husband, the now-bankrupt Yari Film Group has pulled Assassination Of A High School President from its February 27th release date to a now undetermined release date. Expect this film to either go straight-to-video or to premiere on Starz.
